Nitecore TIP2

And there is always the Exposure slider in PhotoShop.

Is there a photo? The renderings I saw lock like a normal reflector.

Ugh - a magnetic tail makes this light a no-go for me. I have to carry too many magnetic key cards to risk carrying this light. That’s a shame - it looks like a nice upgrade to the original, otherwise.

I think it looks great ...

Would be nice if they had incorporated some type of locking mechanism once you engage the magnet end to the body, just seems like it can be lost too easily this way, hopefully it isnt an issue, looks like a nice light.

Charging time:

- in English and other languages manuals - 1.45 Hrs

  • in Russian manual - 3.5 Hrs
    Where is mistake?

In Soviet Russia, flashlight charge you!

In Soviet Russia it’s an atomic battery by default))

I don’t like it.

And it’s crazy that there are so many manufacturers and nobody was able to make a good keychain light yet.

Acebeam came close with the UC15 but messed it up with the UI.

Actually I think acebeam messed up with with the battery.

Totally agree, Batteries cause a big number of UC15’s to fail because of leaking Lithium inside before even using the light :open_mouth:

I don’t like the look of TIP2 on pictures but maybe RL it is just as solid as TIP 1.

What do you mean battery leaking on UC15? It uses regular AAA or 10440s. It doesn’t have builtin batteries, so you can stick any batteries you want in there

Agree. Pretty sure that never happened.

Yes. I lost a magnetic olight that way, first use. So I’d be nervous about this. Anyway I think this is the first T-series with actual quality construction.

I just got mine yesterday!

Some things I do like more on my old Tip.
Still need some time with it to see what works well. The extra lumen is always nice.

The usability of the tiny recessed buttons are hard to use but it will avoid accidental turn on from pocket.

Do you think it takes too long to turn on? In the product video it seems to be a full second or even longer. The old tip can instant turn on…

Yes it’s a two second hold button down on the TIP2.
Little strange but again no accidental turn on.

Also the Turbo high is press and hold only. Let go of the button and then it falls to the next lower setting.
I can not get it to hold on 750lumens by it self for hands free use.

Annnnnd nope, won’t buy it. Ever.

What a shame, engineering a good flashlight and then dumb down the UI and performance just to please a small group of users.

I can deal with the hold to turbo because it wont be long anyways, but 2 seconds to turn on!?
