✌ FREEME - ASTROLUX MF01S 15000lm Flashlight Group Buy - ENDED

No 3000k option? If so i’m not interested.

Who said this is not a possibility? lol

The XP-G3’s cost a bit less but if the sample units with the SST-20 test well then I think I can talk them into ditching the XP-G3 unless Banggood demands it for some reason.

Was that ever considered?

The demand for 3000k has historically been so low that honestly they did not consider it and I never brought it up except in passing.

They have been quite open to custom versions of the light if enough demand is shown though, so if there is demand for a 3000k version I bet it could happen.

The benchmark has not really been set for “enough demand” but my guess from talking to them is 100 is a good number to start with but they might need more interest for things that require custom orders.

Just saw a video of someone who modded their MF01 with 90 cri LH351Ds and it’s outputting 20000 lumens, 60kcd. Would that be a good LED for this light?

Yeah, The dogfarts are good for this; very floody. Care to share the link? Curious to see what driver they’re using; I’m installing my Lexel driver today and am planning on an emitter swap soonish.

That is legit.

Here’s the BLF thread:

There is just one thing that I do not like here (as well as on FT03), color of the ring around the button, I wish it was SS or just polished aluminium :frowning: or even blue like on olight lights, anything would be better than this dark rose gold or whatever it is.

this light is taking along time to get released lol

The MF01 mini precedes the MF01S.

Original timeline was MF01 mini April GB starts & MF01S May GB starts

MF01 mini group buy hasn’t even begun

likely won’t be able to actually receive the MF01 mini until June/July and the MF01S until July/August

omg lol

I was unpatient so that is why I made the 20K lumens old one

I really wish they’d use LH351Ds in this. I asked mateminco and they said they’ve contacted suppliers but it’s hard to find. It’s either that the tax is too much or they don’t ship to China.

lol your MF01 mod trumps almost anything 25 000 lumens and under

20 000 lumens with 80+ CRI is amazing. I’ve got a DX80 and a TM03 TA but XHP70.2s just wash everything out

When I saw TAs MT09R modding thread and realized you can actually get high CRI 70.2s my plan became: get a MT09R 70.2 and swap the emitters for some high CRI 4000-5000k 70.2s

That’s a lot more my intro to modding speed than an 18 emitter swap combined with any other driver mods you had to make!

Any LED below CRI95 is for the plebe.
Me when I see peasants with CRI70 type CFL flashlights :

The problem with LH351Ds is that they are way too floody for this type of light.

Something like SST-20s are much more usable throw wise, and have much better red color rendition.

500m of throw with 20000 lumens is enough for me. I want something high cri that can handle 3000lumens whilst tailstanding without stepping down.
