Sofirn C01S SST-20 4.000K 95CRI / Low-High version available again!

I know that this is what ones do here - but from what I’m seeing, I can’t imagine why.

For me it’s great in stock form… I could imagine others wanting to make it floodier or put in a warmer emitter though. 3000k SST-20s in particular.

 all is great, love it!

Did Sofirn ever make a Low-High version? Thought that was in the works at some point. Doesn’t bother me too much, just thought it would be more practical.

That is what this BLF C01S edition is — L to H and not anodized.

And sold out already, they made only 200 of these :frowning:

Ok…. so I know what I said earlier but I can’t help it :person_facepalming:

…turned it into a floody mule using the plastic insert and AR glass from a lumintop tool; waterproof and just as floody as the original C01!

A well done and useful mod!

(although I very much like the hotspot of the stock TIR lens)

awesome job! More info about the plastic insert /mod please?

It’s set up exactly as it is stock, except with a glass lens to keep it waterproof. The TIR optic is within the plastic insert (I assume to reflect light that escapes the optic) so all I had to do was remove the optic and add a lens.

Wait … so, stock it’s not waterproof? Didn’t know that.

It is waterproof in stock form; the o ring presses against the optic. When I removed the optic I had to have a lens to seal the front

Ok - that makes sense.

is no more blf lights planned ?

No, but who knows that can change

I was planning on buying one. Hopefully they do a second run.

Arrived my new C01S raw Alu, nice “nude” lights.

The new arrived:

With her systers:

By the way, at this moment all my Sofirn lights work perfectly with 10440 of 3,7V.

C01 gives the same light with alkaline as with lithium. I have only tested momentarily. C01S and SF01 are transformed into small cannons of light, with fantastic WOW effect. I have been using C01S and SF01 with lithium for several days at home for many minutes every day and they work perfectly and they also continue to work with alkaline batteries and with ni-mh, although I like them much more with lithium!

The C01S supports “honeycomb” lenses that smooth the contour of the light beam, such as the old Fenix E05 of 27 lumens:

Noctiluco is one light for sale ?

One red and one blue C01 7 lumen 3200K are available, but, please, if you are interested PM me.

Sorry for the off-topic

Edit 2019-05-28: Sorry, not available for sale.

The lens, 25º smooth beam of light, are these:
