Sofirn C01S SST-20 4.000K 95CRI / Low-High version available again!

Ok - that makes sense.

is no more blf lights planned ?

No, but who knows that can change

I was planning on buying one. Hopefully they do a second run.

Arrived my new C01S raw Alu, nice “nude” lights.

The new arrived:

With her systers:

By the way, at this moment all my Sofirn lights work perfectly with 10440 of 3,7V.

C01 gives the same light with alkaline as with lithium. I have only tested momentarily. C01S and SF01 are transformed into small cannons of light, with fantastic WOW effect. I have been using C01S and SF01 with lithium for several days at home for many minutes every day and they work perfectly and they also continue to work with alkaline batteries and with ni-mh, although I like them much more with lithium!

The C01S supports “honeycomb” lenses that smooth the contour of the light beam, such as the old Fenix E05 of 27 lumens:

Noctiluco is one light for sale ?

One red and one blue C01 7 lumen 3200K are available, but, please, if you are interested PM me.

Sorry for the off-topic

Edit 2019-05-28: Sorry, not available for sale.

The lens, 25º smooth beam of light, are these:

Here’s a runtime test for a 850mAh 7dayshop NI-MH cell dated 01.2018

30 minutes or so of well regulated light isnt bad considering the CRI & output.

I’ve tested some worn cells and have had some really odd results; probably due to higher IR and the high currents.

No idea where “1hr 21m” came from; maybe time to the point it cuts out ?

30 minutes is not bad at all, I’m a bit impressed even by that: I measured 95 lumen, that should be about 500mA through the led and over 1.5A from the battery. The boost circuitry does not eat too much energy it seems.

Btw, a runtime prediction for the low mode: I measured 2.7 lumen for my BLF version, and it eats 29.6 mA from the battery, if the output is steady that makes for 25 hours on a AAA Eneloop.

GAH! Can’t believe I missed these! WTB! Anyone?

NLD BLF C01S
Looks good.
Works well.
Great little light.

@Sofirn | Barry: please produce another batch.

Yes please Sofirn!

Question is: if Sofirn thinks a second run BLF version with low-high is a good idea, should it also be unanodised again?

For me certainly

Yes, please, unanodised.

I love my non-ano ones so I agree, and it makes the BLF edition extra special. But I was not sure if a majority thinks that too, hence the question.

I would prefer anodized in a different color. That way the few people who couldnt buy get it and the people who got the blf edition get the new version too.

I sure do like the one I have but it would be nice to have an anodized one also - color doesn’t matter.

My non-anodized one is expected to arrive on Friday (woohoo!), and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it just fine. But I’m not opposed to it being anodized. Either way.
