Imalent MS18 with 100,000Lumen and R90TS with 36,000Lumen

That’s crazy output for a tree to blind a flashaholic. :sunglasses:

Thought so, most Beam Shots dont look good, FLASHAHOLICS look the best to me, but ill try MANUAL TONIGHT.

The hardest thing to set up exposure same as real life. Because your eye pretty much works as between locked and automatic setting. So if you lock exposure at a low level (like 100 lumens) the levels like 5000 and above will be burned. If you set 10000 then 1000 lumens will be lower than real life. So that is why you need to compare apples to apples like I tried the MS18 with my second powerful light the MT03 TA.

It is hard, i made a MS18 vs X70 vid, will upload soon, i ised differnd Exposers in the vid.

MS18 22000 lumen level runtime test with temperature measuring:

The manual says 22,000 lumens for 67 minutes. It looks like it doesn’t really hold 22,000 lumens at all and drops to ~10,000 lumens at 30 minutes? Also, did it turn off at ~45 minutes? A little disappointing if so. Would you be able to test their claim of 10,000 lumens for 3hr 40min with a similar graph?

It blinked the empty battery signal. Showed 11,73V so I turned it off but I think it was about to heppen any time. Disappointing it not meet the specs but show me another flashlight that can hold output over 10000 lumens more than 30 minutes
For 10K just roll up to post #402

It reached 82°C after 15 minutes in 10K because no fan activation in that level. Impossibble to hold in hand and I think it is not healthy for the flashlight to run more than that in that level. So impossibble to run it for 3 hours 40 mins in 10K If you make 10 minute runs and let it cool down maybe you can reach more than 3 hours if you add the runs up but not in continuous run.

Anyone have the r90tc in hand for review?

let me know if you need something special

Correct. The output has a decreasing slope in output. I also have my review up if interested: https://1lumen.com/21700-reviews/imalent-ms18/

Let me know if you have any questions.

I think I was able to clean up the above post.

Great review, so your not the only one that has Turbo come on by accident.

Yes..it happens frequently. Although less than the first day. What do you think about the UI?

Well i said some think in my Beam Shot VID, but i think it should be a press and hold to turn on, just so its a bit safer, also after its ON, you should be able to SINGLE CLICK to change modes, and a PRESS AND HOLD to go DOWN in the modes, as it sucks to have to keep going up and up just to get back down, also i was thinking instead of a DOUBLE CLICK to TURBO, it might be nice to PRESS AND HOLD the button to get TURBO, but thats if they kept the SAME UI.

Do you think they will add this in future versions? Would be nice for 10,000 lumens so it doesn’t become too hot to hold at 15 minutes.

Yes, I think these lumenmomsters should have a better UI. The UI is easy to understand, but not as useful for this high power flashlight. Now waiting for Acebeam to make a 101,000 flashlight.

Imalent does listen to our suggestions...

I hope they'll listen and improve their next one. I mean having 700 or 60,000 lumens at turn on is quite a difference. Without knowing what mpde it was in. Probably a physical lockout would work, but thats a workaround a $600 light shouldn't need to have.

Me to man,

Dude, these guys are doing things nobody else is doing. Heat pipes, improved active cooling (improved over ms12), 100,000 lumen, all this for under $600. From what I’ve seen they do listen to our recommendations. Sure Acebeam might follow up, but that’s chicken Sh@&, it’s easy to follow up on the heels of the innovator.
