Imalent MS18 with 100,000Lumen and R90TS with 36,000Lumen

Anyone have the r90tc in hand for review?

let me know if you need something special

Correct. The output has a decreasing slope in output. I also have my review up if interested: https://1lumen.com/21700-reviews/imalent-ms18/

Let me know if you have any questions.

I think I was able to clean up the above post.

Great review, so your not the only one that has Turbo come on by accident.

Yes..it happens frequently. Although less than the first day. What do you think about the UI?

Well i said some think in my Beam Shot VID, but i think it should be a press and hold to turn on, just so its a bit safer, also after its ON, you should be able to SINGLE CLICK to change modes, and a PRESS AND HOLD to go DOWN in the modes, as it sucks to have to keep going up and up just to get back down, also i was thinking instead of a DOUBLE CLICK to TURBO, it might be nice to PRESS AND HOLD the button to get TURBO, but thats if they kept the SAME UI.

Do you think they will add this in future versions? Would be nice for 10,000 lumens so it doesn’t become too hot to hold at 15 minutes.

Yes, I think these lumenmomsters should have a better UI. The UI is easy to understand, but not as useful for this high power flashlight. Now waiting for Acebeam to make a 101,000 flashlight.

Imalent does listen to our suggestions...

I hope they'll listen and improve their next one. I mean having 700 or 60,000 lumens at turn on is quite a difference. Without knowing what mpde it was in. Probably a physical lockout would work, but thats a workaround a $600 light shouldn't need to have.

Me to man,

Dude, these guys are doing things nobody else is doing. Heat pipes, improved active cooling (improved over ms12), 100,000 lumen, all this for under $600. From what I’ve seen they do listen to our recommendations. Sure Acebeam might follow up, but that’s chicken Sh@&, it’s easy to follow up on the heels of the innovator.

Oh I agree! I own a DX80 which has been great. I think with a few minor tweaks like allowing fan control on any mode, less accidental turbo activations and maybe an easier to find button (which Martin mentioned to them before it even came out) this light would be even better.

Those are all minor issues though and my only real gripe is how excited I was for their listed runtimes at 22,000 and 10,000 lumens. It appears those runtimes were only theoretical.

600$, man, that’s a lot of hot noodles….

Thought I was in the budget forum.

It is a lot of money but don’t forget there are some decent discounts from Martin and others.

Any update on when the second run is going to ship?

Has the first run shipped yet? I haven’t heard anything from Neal other than that Imalent is finishing up testing and that was May 21st.

I have a notice from BG that possibly on 06/06 they will begin to ship.If they don’t,I think if I cancel my order.

Neal's Baby is in the hospital - please allow him some time to answer your mails and PMs!

afaik he did not receive all ordered units from Imalent last week - more should arrive this week to fulfill all open orders.
