Now THIS is big: Keygos? 7 x XML and 3 x 26650 IMR

I was bullied 24-7 and had no recourse. (1970's) School administration was of no help. I finally started to pack and almost shot one kid and finally got left alone. No support at home either. Continued on into work life. Finally got so I couldn't work any more, and 15 psychiatric hospital stays later, had to quit in 04 and wound up on permanent disability-the damage was done.

I share this because I don't want anyone to have to go through the same thing. Only now in my 50's am I starting to make peace but I still want 'em all dead in hell.

It is very serious-be a support and for God's sake and his, get him into a self-defense course and tear into the right people to make it stop!

If I had shown up with a bigger torch, I'd have had it taken from me in short order, or stolen. I would strongly suggest that you don't go that route-he'll get bullied more.

I don't mean to hijack, but I can't keep quiet on this. I don't have kids and no way I would. I'd be the guy going to the bully's house with a shotgun.

7 T6 XML led squeezed in 2.185" bezel is no good. It's not wide enough. Initially I thought it was seller has made a mistake on the specs, therefore I sent a message to ask if it was true! I'm very interesting to this light & now have to wait reviews to make my decision.

Just got my today

the head is 70mm not 55mm (J12 62cm)

much less power consumption than J12 in all 5 modes even with 2 more XM-L

5 minutes on high not even warm (J12 getting quite hot in 5 minutes)

brighter with 3 cells

shorter than J12

pretty much the same brightness as J12 (on high)

ได้ไวจริงๆ 555

Can you get a reading at the tail and see how much power it uses?

Thanks for the information!

Measured or by eye?

You seriously are over-parenting your kids - I’m 17 myself and my parents don’t mind my little collection of lights, never did (or even thought of doing) any silly stuff with them, such as blinding people, car drivers etc. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you missed my point. :)

They are not flashaholics (at least not yet) and not interested in checking / matching cell voltages. Giving them a multi cell light would simply be too dangerous.

Edit: Let me rephrase: Giving a multi cell light to anyone not interested in checking voltages would be too dangerous. (IMHO)

parenting advice from a 17 year old...lmao

Well, I’m pretty sure I know better what people of my age are like than ones who are way above my age

Also that wasn't a parenting advice ;)

exactly 1 week very fast shipping

by eye

Ok. Thanks!

I always get strange results from my equipment like 5.95A from J12 with 2 cells on high, so my reading is not reliable.

Hey oatmanutd, can you also tell me how the retailer shipped it, was it in a box and then placed in a plastic shipping envelope, did it arrive in perfect condition or was there any damage to it. What is your general impressions of the light? Thanks.

Some of the users on the German forum posted a 1.5A draw at tailcap! So it isn't very bright. But of course, he might have a lemon

I got mine today and I am quite disappointed. The Trustfire TR-J12 is clearly brighter.

The Dry and the TR-J12 have about the same brightness. The TR-J12 has the bigger spot and is visibly brighter than the Keygos.

If you have to decide for one light, then buy the Trustfire or the Dry (or both) but not the Keygos unless you want to
change the driver anyway.

Good to have you here, lumenhunter.

That's very disappointing to hear to say the least. I suppose the only thing to do is figure out if a better driver can be installed in it, and assuming it's also able to deal with greater heat generation. Since I've been looking to purchase my first 26650 capable light, I'd say the Trustfire TR-J12 is the way to go.

Thanks LumenHunter for chiming in.

Anyone else get one of these and\or do some testing? Can't live up to their claims, but I'm interested nonetheless. Ordered a Trustfire TR-J12, more trustworthy :-p Still..
