TK's Emisar D4 review

well…no usb,no order…but its still a nice flashlight:))

The link no longer points to the D4S Gen 2, but to the JETbeam Emergency II PRO TI.

But it appears from the pictures, Emisar has ignored the complaints regarding its unilluminated side switch. IMO, that is a big oversight.

Just mod everything every six months to try to keep up at BudgetUserInterface.com

just click on the old photo to read about it and see pictures……

Gotta click view old listing at the top…

Eh, USB charging is overrated and takes up space.

The D4 was around before anything with Aux LEDs even existed so I wouldnt call that a complaint, just a suggestion/improvement. As for an illuminated side switch, due to size/pin outputs/durability/cost it may have not been doable. Hardly an oversight. People are always going to complain about something no matter what is improved. They could implement all these changes including the switch LED then its now a $50 light. Now people whine that its too expensive.

TBH though, id take a illuminated switch over aux LEDs any day, especially on a side switch light.

If they offer a Copper D4 V2, I may buy a 3rd/ my first copper light. I feel like copper with an SS bezel would be sharp looking. Unless they offer Smooth green again then ill need two…

D4V2 is real. $45

Red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta, rainbow aux LED options is selectable through config UI, as well as the voltage indication function. (6 fast clicks and hold the 7th to choose the aux LED options, 7 fast clicks to choose the aux LED modes)

I was wondering how that would be user configurable, guess I’m still wondering how they get all those colors for aux LEDs in there. . . .

super tempted

Hello, where can I find the latest compilation of Anduril for D4?

There the last one is from 02-06-2019:

A flashaholic and his money will soon be parted. And don’t expect me to pound the sand-colored light. :person_facepalming:

:+1:

I mean, you’re not wrong. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, since the D4V2 is announced now, I put up a review to answer people’s questions…

I kinda put it together in a hurry; wasn’t planning on doing it quite so soon, but the leak seems to have advanced the schedule a bit.

Is the D4v1 only sold out but will be restocked or will it be discontinued ?
I’m fine with mine like it is, a lighted switch would have been a plus but I generally turn off the auxiliary LEDs of my flashlights. 10$ more for knurling and aux LEDs which I can do without is a price increase that is not worth it for me.

I can’t think of a single light from any manufacturer where v1 stayed in production after v2 came out.

I suspect v1’s production run is done and all future D4s will be v2.

Just noticed it too, 0 items in stock. I liked the D4 v1 as well without the upgrades, I just got one a month ago thank god! I would’ve liked a brother for it with different emitters, sad:(

If I understand correctly, it’s discontinued. But I’m just assuming.

Just saw there are still a handful of D4’s available at MtnElectronics but only the XP-L HI 5D version, with 10$ reduction;)

I managed to buy Emisar D4 v1, now I have at least two years to buy Emisar D4v2

The knurling and aux emitters (and sand color) are what finally pushed me over the edge to order one. Everyone’s different…

Hi

Great review thank you!

Quick question, can I use Samsung 30q flat top or botton top?

Thanks

Intl-Outdoor still has the D4 in black and dark grey, and the D4S in green, with all emitter options.
