Product characteristics:
The flashlight uses the highest grade Luminus SST-40-10W beads with a maximum brightness of 8000 lumens and a maximum range of 850 meters.
IPX8 waterproof. Super heat dissipation design, flashlight heating fast, cautious use, carefully ironing hands.
Four 18650 pointed or semi-pointed batteries are used to ensure the consistency of battery voltage.
(Note: If you insist on using flat-end batteries, you need to buckle down the anti-backlash patches at the cylinder body and tail to prevent the anti-backlash batteries from being released by yourself.)
High efficiency constant current circuit, constant brightness.
Luminance gear and endurance:

Low brightness: 200 lumen 30 hours
Mid-bright gear 1:1300 lumen 12 hours
Mid-bright gear 2: 2800 lumen 300 minutes

nice design, reminds me a bit of the older SRKs

Interesting but the link doesn’t work and I can’t find anything on AE if I try the search. How many emitters does it have? 4?

I like it but I am leery of the new Haikelite’s. Had an SC04 that I bought during a GB that was DOA. It would definitely be dependent on price. Looks like 5 or 6 emitters based on the reflector (What you can see). Hopefully this is the 5000K version.

Yeah.

I really hope this uses a real quad MCPCB.

And the design looks really… generic for some reason.

Proprietary chargers are a no-go for me. Same for barrel connectors that aren't technically proprietary, but that I'd have to match voltage and current and connector size/polarity etc.

Edit: working link 4 emitters and $69

If I didn’t have more Q8s/DC7s than I know what to do with, I’d definitely be in for one.

I’m a little leery, though, about ironing my hands from the heat. That sounds a trifle painful.

Here’s the correct link: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33040268524.html

Interesting, but i hate adapter charger, they can use USB port instead

What the hell are they thinking using a proprietary charger!!? This would have been a winner if it used usb charging instead

Umm, that’s a pretty big-ass charger. So imagine charging all those cells inside in 2hrs vs 12hrs or more.

I’m actually okay with it as-is, as long as it’s not some proprietary-size barrel connector.

Whups, I take that back. Pic of the charger shows it’s 2A only, so 12AH (say, 4 30Qs) would take ~6hrs from dead to topped.

wall charger seems weird… usually its for lights that running 8 x 18650 or something like the bigger search lights olight, acebeam etc has… 70$ doesnt seem that bad, it can be a hit or miss when it comes to them.

Should have been USB PD.

Just to clarify, that’s an actual charger, not power-brick. Ie, the charging circuitry is built into the brick. CC is limited to 2A, CV to 4.2V.

The NexTorch nylon-body 18650 light with charger has this (the 2×CR123A doesn’t). Just a plastic shell to hold the cell, NO electronix inside, just a connector for the wall-wart to supply the CC/CV friendliness to not make the cell go boom.

Only thing I’d be afraid of is if the (necessarily) direct connection to the cells from the socket would be exposed to, say, salt-water, metal shavings, etc. That would Truly Suck™.

So the switch light is turned on in standby mode correct? And does it ramp all the way to the brightest mode?

What type of driver does the MT40 use?

I know it says it’s a constant current driver, but is it linear? Buck? Boost? Buck-boost?

hey guys,

I saw on AliExpress in Haikelite Store a MT40: “Haikelite-linterna LED CSLPM1 de 6500LM, 4 lámparas, 6500 lúmenes, noved”. What do you think about that? Is it worth any attention? It claims 1400m of range (which I can believe in, because I saw what my Convoy L21a can reach). And why the description is in spanish? Sound a little bit suspicious, but it really got my curiousity and attention. Thinking of ordering this light.

AX has a totally f’ed up site. If anyone posts a link to a product on AX, and that person has his language set to spanish (or german, or tagalog, or…) and you click on it, then guess what? Now your language default is set to that, too. And sometimes it sticks and sticks and sticks and takes several attempts to reset it.

Towards the top there should be something clickable like “go to international version” which does something like switches from es.aliexpress.com or de.aliexpress.com to plain ol’ www.aliexpress.com, and maybe that’ll reset the language, but then you still might have to reset the language (and currency) to english/usd, maybe a few times.

Ironically, you might have to read spanish/german/tagalog/whatever well-enough to find that “go to international version” label.

As for the MT40, unno. Ain’t got one.

I ordered this one with osram emmiters. Will see what’s this capable of

Unno, this one?

Plain ol’ english here.
