Same cells, with same chemistry and ratings. The Sony is slightly longer.
But you can get better capacity cells for slightly longer run-time. 3600mAh instead of 3000mAh but you also have to look at the Continuous Discharge Rating (higher amps mean higher output but less run-time if you use turbo or unregulated output)
They are not a regular use mode. Anduril lets you set two different modes for the AUX LEDs: one for power off and one for lockout. Each can be set to off, low, high, or blinking.
It is also fairly easy to change the modes, so you can reconfigure them as needed.
In TK’s D4 (V1) review, runtime at the ~150lm highest regulated level was estimated at around 8 hours. I’m assuming this was with a 3000mAh cell, but it possibly could have been with a 3500mAh instead. My memory does not include all the minor details.
I’m thinking about getting an led in the 5000k tint for the D4v2. Is the SST-20 5000k a similar tint to the XPL-Hi in lower levels? Or is it a sickly green. I might pay the extra 10 dollars if that means I can avoid a greenish led!
Yep. I prefer to not have a stainless bezel. It is great to have as a extra cost option for those who do want one, but not as an included extra cost for those who don’t.

I ordered mine this morning and just assumed it came with the SS bezel, I misread it. If I read correctly I would have ordered the SS bezel. But going back and looking at it again, I think I prefer the regular aluminum Saved myself a couple of dollars. Those dollars will soon be used to buy upcoming lights:
