CNQG - Sent me the wrong item... Ric to the rescue!

Always use a CC with PP because their customer "protection" is worthless. Then you can have the CC company charge it back, regardless of what the stooges at PP say. Sometimes the threat of a charge-back is enough to motivate PP.

Well i dont think i jumped the gun, i have not slagged them off just asking advise. Anyway my reply that registered mail is not an option and postage unregistered will be circa $15 i requested discount on repurchase of original light, here is the reply:

'Ok, The ZIX valued 27.5$, plus the shipping cost by registered,
Total is 32.5$. we can offer you 10$ discount.
Please confirm back. thanks

What do you guys think?

Have you contacted Ric-CN?
From the above, it seems like you will be out of pocket on that exchange.

Not contacted Rick directly, should i just PM him on here? I just used the CS mail they list on the website. I think maybe a bit more off would be nice TBH

So basically you paid full price for the light you dont want, then another 22$ for the light you do want, so it works out to over $50 to get your light...

Did you contact RIC thru PM here on the forum?

Or did you try this email address?

I would email and ask for RIC and reference this thread in the forums and tell him to send the right light, no charge, or send the cost of return shipping.

Don't accept anything that costs you a DIME more than you already paid.

Pardon my involvement. I PM'ed RiC-CN with a link to this thread and asked that he get involved, to correct the situation.

I know I am sticking my big nose in it, but I did anyhow, since this now involves many people watching and waiting for the outcome.

CNQG needs to address it now, in this thread, so we all can see what they are really like, so we can continue to buy or not buy, based on their final decision to rectify the problem.

I just don't understand the philosophy of trying to back out of taking responsibility, when a vendor makes the mistake. I guess it's a cultural difference thing. It seems that overseas vendors do ithis stuff all the time and somehow make the buyer feel like they are at fault. I just don't get it.

Good thing I stumbled upon this. I want to see what happens next before I purchase anything from CNQG.

Thanks old-lumens, that was my next step anyway, i think they still have a good chance to come out looking good from this.

I just did a simple “heads up”, check out this thread, that’s all. Not my place to do anything more, probably not my place to do it at all, but as long as it’s cool with you… Probably will take many hours for any response, due to the time zones.

Ric doesn't visit BLF every day, I waited for his reply about 4-5 days after my last PM to him.

Patience is a virtue. :)

I hope they make a good offer to solve this issue. My only experience with them was the DRY group buy, and it was a very positive experience.

04/03/2012 - 20:57 Ric replied that he will look the whole thing over, see what is going on and take care of it. So give him a few hours to a day and see what happens.

Ok guys, thanks to Old-lumens, Rick has PM'd me and offered me a better solution so hopefully now we can progress with this.

He has advised the F12 is a better light so I may not ever end up with the Z1X lol

Jeansy:

Having owned a Z1 for some time and now drooling over the F12, I think that is sage advice. Enjoy the new light, glad it worked out.

Glad it worked out as I knew it would. Ric has never let me down and has been nothing short of great to work with in my experience. If I know Ric I wouldn't be surprised if he let you keep the one and sent you an F12 for whatever the price difference may be.

I think they all try to persuade us to accept the error and move on. It appears to be mostly cultural differences. When you think about it, it's almost amazing a Western resident can come to a satisfying resolution with a Chinese proprietor.

For me, Ric and CNQG are on the short list for reputable, China-based vendors.

Jeansy - Glad this is resolved.

I have had several dealings with Ric directly and every one has been done correctly and with satisfaction. I have seen that with KD also. I used to contact the owner directly and every order was done right. I think the owners rely too much their workers to settle matters that are beyond their scope, but whatever the reasons, there are huge cultural differences between east and west. Big enough that we will never understand and they will never understand. The US seems to be unique in it's demands for perfection from vendors and if it's not perfect everyone better bend over backwards to make it right. I think the Chinese have a whole different philosophy about that, maybe not, but it sure seems that way. Either that or they are just plain selling the stuff so damn cheap that they can't afford to "make it right" when there are problems and that's probably a big part of it too.

Steps down from soapbox, slips and falls...

Carry on.

Well subject to conformation it's $17 shipped for the F12 so not everyone would be happy but I have to accept its not their fault shipping back is so complicated and pricey

Make the guy who packed it pay for not checking...maybe next time he will be more careful. But I guess not and you have to pick up the slack.

But thats all part of the game in buying cheap lights from China.

Hmm, this transaction just doesn't seem to want to go well! Glad they didn't just ship a faulty item tho

'We have got your order, thanks for you patronage.

The F12 we have got it last week, But when we test it, there is a tint flaw with this consignment.

We have no way but to return it back to re-product.

It will takes about a week to get back in stock. Once get it will shipping it out.

Hoping you kindly understand, thanks

Best regards
