Review: Shadow JM07 Pro "Stone White" Limited Edition

Hey, mitro:

My JM07 came yesterday. Supposed to be very windy (+25mph) today so I'll be field testing the light on the Fox River Trail tonight. We're planning on heading down to your neck of the woods, probably turn around at the Montgomery trail head.

I can't wait to hear how it goes! You'll still be north of my stomping grounds. The part of the trail I run is south of there and unfortunately not directly connected to the northern part. I need to venture north one of these days.

Between, I can't wait to see the pics!! Wink

Well, I ordered a Shadow JM07 in black from IntlOutdoor. I'm a fan of the 26650 sized hosts, so I should enjoy this one.

I would like to get my hands on a gun metal JM07.

(laughing) I wonder if Hank is selling more of these lately.

Naw . . . you guys were going to get one anyway, right?

Gun metal was out of stock when I last contacted Hank. He didn't seem like he'd be ordering more GM, but I could be wrong.

I purchased one as well as the stone white edition, but underneath the gun metal version on the web site it says "

" The Gun Metal Grey JM07-PRO has been found to have some oxidation issues on the latest batch, becasue of that we choose not to sell it. But we have the new version in Black which is free of those problems."

So I guess It will be black instead.

That's right. I remember now.

So, does anyone know how easy/hard it would be to add a couple more 7*7135 to the driver and push it to 3.15 or 3.5 amps?

I just wanted to thank you for your work/tests.

Due to your glowing reviews of this brand ,I ordered one [a JM 07]my brightest light currently is a Fenix pd 30 and I wanted a decent lumin upgrade and a light of good quality.

The biggest struggle was which model of this brand!...kelly

Thank you, I appreciate it. I think you're going to love your new Shadow.

+1

By the way, Foy, to echo what kelly1 said, it's your fault I have you to thank for my purchase of several great lights: Solarforce M6 & M8, JM07 and of course a few SF L2 models. I am very happy with all of them. Thanks for all your great reviews.

Hi,

Does anyone know if protected 26650 batteries (such as the Trustfire ones) will fit nicely in this?

Interested in this flashlight but afraid of the K Kongs.

You might need to remove the brass plug that covers the tailcap spring, should fit fine.

If you are afraid of the LiCo King Kongs, why not try the INR version or one of the IMR or safer chemistries? Refer to this for some options:

So I was able to use mine JM07 Pro for the first time tonight. This was after getting my UltraFire UF-T50 Monday. After using both I am a bit disappointed in the JM07, it doesn't seem much brighter if any brighter than the UF-T50, although the tint on the JM07 is much warmer so that could be it. Overall I think I will probably end up using the UF-T50 more and possibly even selling the JM07.

Looks like I purchased Hanks last one and in NW tint. I think this light may have been copied by others, but at least mine will have been from Intl-Outdoor.

i saw pictures of a version of this light with a bigger head, but no place to buy it. has anyone more information about it? i think it would be a decent xm-l-thrower with great heat-dissipation...

Welcome to BLF, Lagerregal. No, I haven't seen that one, but I'm sure it will start showing up in the usual places. Thanks for the heads up.

That looks like the older Shadow JM07. Intl-outdoor used to use have them but are now sold out. The only place I could find them is at http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/314128/211281624-504737999/free-shipping-SHADOW-JM07-CREE-XML-T6-LED-Flashlight.html but you will have to get them in lots of 5 pieces.
