Astrolux and Manker have had some of their lights machined (maybe assembled) by Mateminco in the past. Iâm not sure who makes the Haikelites. They probably had some machined/assembled by Mateminco as well.
Astrolux, Manker and Haikelite are like the âdesignersâ. They come up with the idea and design, driver type, what led to use, etcâŠ
I think some companies can have the lights machined my Mateminco then assemble the different components themselves. Whatever is cheaper based on the resources they have.
There is a lot of variation and itâs pretty confusing, but itâs why we see such similarities between brands.
Also keep in mind that âMatemincoâ is the name the manufacturer uses for themselves. I donât think we know the actual manufacturers real company name. Iâve never heard it mentioned.
Anyway, I wish Astrolux would consult with BLF to see whats popular and desirable instead of consult with Haikelite. I donât think Haikelite knows what people want.
Just my opinion on all the above. I wanted to get it off my chest.
Looking at the SST-40 datasheet, the bin structure and minimum flux lumen at 5A is so:
N2 1394
N3 1501
N4 1608
N5 1715
P2 1822
So in theory we should see an average of 200 more lumen, maybe 300 more at most when pushed to 9A-10A over the N4 used in the FT03. So hopefully we will see 2,000-2,100 lumen assuming reflector/lens, etc⊠efficiency is the same as the FT03.
The problem here is that they say the FT04 does not use a FET driver. They are saying itâs constant current. If true, no way will see 9A-10A. Maybe like 6A-7A at most. Who knows, maybe it will use a FET driver. Itâs still early.
Also wondering why the UI has gone from Narsil to, well, garbage - I know obviously if itâs not ATtiny and FET then youâve gotta make do with what you can, butâŠ.
The P2 emitter is the only interesting thing about this, for me. But others may find it better
Itâs just a slightly higher bin. Itâs not a difference you will see with your eyes. It will only be a difference that can be measured. No big whoop as far as Iâm concerned.

Okay, so some notes - before I start, please donât get me wrong; I appreciate everything you do for the community in helping us get great deals, this is just some feedback:
Itâs frustrating that in the link via the image/s, quite a few things on that list canât have the deal applied to them, due to already being Promo or on sale already - or the code just not working (ie. MF01S says âCoupon is only used in special collection list and valid on over the specific value.â)
âExtraâ 30% off implies that itâs an additional 30% off whatever price theyâre currently advertising - so if itâs a $100 light at 35% off already, Iâd generally expect that to mean another 30% off, so itâd either be $35 (65% total) or $45.5 (100 down to 65, then 30% of the $65 taken off). I guess this comes down to nuances in language, though.
Again - please donât take this as criticism against you, just observations
Can it be that shipping costs have extremely increased lately? EUR 4,13 for standard shipping of two Golisi S43 batteries? Where applicable, priority direct mail (air transit) is still cheaper than standard shipping with 4-5 Euro, i.e. $ 5-6. :O

This would be a good time to grab a Rofis R1 or R2, though Iâm hesitant to order anything else from banggood, since they still havenât shipped my Lumintop EDC05C that I ordered 5-24-19, even though people who ordered a month later already have their lights.
