BLF Interest List: EX3 High Current Beryllium Copper Silver Plated springs - Still selling my springs :)

How much until those springs are ready? Maybe a tad aflutter already, I apologize. Hope one more week or week O:) and half tops.

Cheers :STAR:

They should start shipping this week.

Awesome, Got a new Q8 body assy. from Sofirn prepped and ready for the new springs. Thanks for doing this for us.

Ok guys, I finished my necessary formations at my job now.

I can go finally go full throttle on this GB!

I will ship every day of the week until every order is fulfilled.

woot! can’t wait mate

BlueSwordM, are you planning to organise a GB for rosy 3000K SST’s in the future?

I ordered a 2700K LH351D to test from Digikey, idk who would be interested though. Lantern people I guess

A smaller XP-E2 or XP-G3 photo red groupbuy would also make sense since photo red leds are very difficult to source.

@Ryzbor, no problem for the 3000k LEDs. They are HD2, as most 3000k SST-20s already are, so that should not be a problem.

For the photo red LEDs, I’ll try asking my contact at Future Electronics to see what I can get.

The springs have been finally shipped from the manufacturer.

I should have them next week.

I’m so happy that I can finally get to use these in my builds.

I found photo red xp-g3 (XPGDPR-L1-0000-00F01) available in one of my favorite shop. About $1.85 when ordering 500+. I hope you’ll find XPGDPR-L1-0000-00G01

I’d rather get:

[my underlining and strikethrough]

I’d love to get an HA4 tint bin, which would be even better than the HD2.

Back on the BeCu springs though, I should have them early this week.

Anybody else want some springs?

I received my SST-20s yesterday. Envelope was a bit mangled by Canada Post but they survived unscathed. I’ll stick one in a light and post results at some point soon.

Hard to source I guess?

Kaidomain used to sell them if I’m not wrong.

Yeah, good color bins are really hard to source, and are in very high demand.

Pretty old story for the good stuff to be hard to @#$%. There's really no reason for it to be that way other than @#$%. I mean, would that be the same way if people were overall wiser, more knowledgeable and such? Certainly not.

To be honest, do you (plural) really think led developers/manufacturers cannot choose to change the phosphor recipe and base pump frequency to obtain a spot on planckian locus spectral power distribution from led emitters? The answer is yes, some companies are already doing it. I also believe obtaining affordably priced spot on or below planckian locus emitters is accessible, but guess what? More red and less green means less lemons, which means lower flux bin and lower efficiency greenficiency. In my opinion it surely pays off thanks to saturation and just because it simply looks better.

Today i have received my 2nd gen springs and FD2 LEDs.
Everything in perfect conditions.
Great work BSM!

@Dlux, excellent.

As expected, European customers get their packages first.

OK guys, I received a notification that I got the springs.

Once I come home, I’ll take pics and physical measurements to make sure everything is OK.
