Fasttech sent a wrong item but denies that

I have both CW and NW versions. The difference is very visible.

Disgusting. I’ve had this happen to me once before, from one of the smaller well known vendors who should’ve known better. Suffice to say that was the last time I ordered from them. I hope you ordered via PayPal and can claim a refund.

I ordered two AWT IMR 26660 4500 MAH batteries off ebay,
before I placed the order I asked if they were genuine, and he replied that he buys direct from them.
They arrived today and do not have the security stickers.
Charging them up, but I bet they won’t run Turbo in the Rofis MR-70, which is a true test of a high drain battery.
Typical

Dunno how much the light goes for or what percentage 2bux might be, but part of the problem is that to >99% of the world, you explain NW vs CW and they’ll just roll their eyes like you’re a nut. “White is white”, and a slightly different shade makes zero difference to them.

Wanna get pist off, get this…

I order a desk thermometer from a seller on AX. Normally, you order a brick and it’ll arrive mummified in 1lb of bubblewrap and clear packing tape that takes a half-hour to unravel. These geniuses instead stuffed the big-glass-displayed thermometer into a ziplock bag with 1 sheet of paper-thin “foam”, and into a form-fitting plain stretchy-plastic envelope. Zero protection for the huge glass face. And of course it’s cracked, and a third of the display is filled with LC “ink”.

Message after message after message goes unanswered. I finally put in for a dispute, pointing out all of the above, with pix.

Seller’s counteroffer? 0 refund, 0 replacement.

Oh, this is gonna be fun.

Anyhoo, what about explaining your pressing need for NW, for color accuracy, how you need a NW light for your job, whatever your reasons? :smiling_imp:

Regardless of shade.
If it the one on left I’d be flogging it
It’s a shit looking beam regardless of colour.
and buying another of the ones on right,
At That range from the board.

I’d just be opening a complaint with Paypal.
They’d call us too fussy but.
I go for 5000ish every time too.

You the one paying for it. and THEY did give you a choice.

I have had a few items in my cart with them and just dropped the idea.

This is not on you at all and I am not sure why they think they should presume that it is?

Yeah, crossing off Fasttech from my store list for the foreseeable future.

FastWho?? They wouldn’t know customer service if it walked up and bit em in the face.

IF they cant manage to send out correct tint to customers, whats the point having multiple then? it shouldnt be a gamble if u get cool white or not… they suck then.

I just got a response:

I asked them to ship me a NW one.

There’s no need to test, it’s clearly labelled on the box! :person_facepalming:

Oh well, hope you get what you ordered

lame excuse… even if maker labeled the lights wrong its their responsibilty that customer gets correct tint…

and its obvious on the pic that its a cool white.

Soooooo… rather’n a stinking 2bux, they’re gonna ship you a 2nd light for free?

Damn, wish people’d make that mistake with me more often.

Yeah, I bought an “amber LED” light from them a while back and got “warm white” instead.
Basically they don’t know what they’re selling, they’re just passing orders they collect on to whoever’s shipping whatever.

Well, yah, especially if you can get everything from dtp boards, to vape juice, to plant seeds, to naughty s3x t0ys, and all sorts of other stuff, all in the same order. Kinda like Omni Consumer Products…

Glad you got a good resolution. I believe the replies and support from BLF members helped to achieve this resolution - shows the importance of community and sticking up for fellow consumers.

Cool, but no free banana

Best way to earn a prize… unexpectedly. :-D

fasttech support is typically very good, they helped me many times when something didn’t go as planned.

Yeh, whenever I had any issue, there was a US-based place to send the return, they reimbursed me for shipping, and everything went smoothly as silk.

I’m guessing that the uninitiated generally have no idea why anyone would make such a big stink about a slightly different shade of white (whereas we know better  ), so didn’t want to fling a whole new light his way instead (but eventually did).

Like someone buying medical supplies, if a #5 artery scalpel blade looks almost exactly like a #3C retina scraper, the buyer would be flipping out at getting the wrong item, but the seller who has no idea what the difference is would be scratching his head wondering what’s the big stink, as they look almost exactly alike.

I’ve always had good luck patiently explaining things, even if it takes a few tries to do it. As I mentioned earlier, requiring good color rendition for your job or whatever sounds like a good excuse, and in fact the only reason to require X instead of Y or Z, eventually would sink in and they’d make good.

If not, there’s always paypal or a generic chargeback.

That incident on AX I mentioned, seems to have been resolved in my favor this morning, too. I showed my evidence, everything they asked/required, and AX came through.

Life is good.

At least it was fast-enough shipping to have the bananananana get overripe.

Should that happen, though…

— ~2 overripe banananananas, ’though no brown/mooshy sections, and no attached “strings” (yecch)

— milk to cover

— sprinkling of sugar

Plop the bananananananas into a blender, sprinkle sugar to taste, just cover with milk, blend until smooooooth.

Even if the bananananananas are mealy and squish if you so much as look at them wrong, they’re soooooooo good as a shake.

Some people use honey instead of sugar, but to me the taste is just ever so slightly “off” with honey.

Vanilla extract optional, but I once ruined a batch because the extract was old and disgusting, so now I don’t even bother.

Enjoy. (Somebody send the recipe to Arrow in case that have too many leftover bananananananas.)
