I made this for my Mums birthday present over the last few weeks. Her birthday is in a few days.
She likes glowy things & Sci Fi movies :)
Everything is hand made as usual using small hand saws & files.
The Cube has a built in charging circuit with a LiPo cell.
Two switches on the inside base control four blue 465nm downlights filtered through a GITD mix and the Tesseract central UV LED array, which is made from two opposing 8mm UV LEDs surrounded by four 465nm blue LEDs.
These switches can be set so they activate when the case is slid open & closed.
The Tesseract is both supplied and held in place by magnetic contacts and is removable from the vibranium case ;)
The case opens & closes via four telescopic uru sliding mechanisms.
Still got some tidying up to do but it is mostly finished.
My camera hates blue so it was difficult to get good pictures of the glowing space stone.
I'll try to get some night time shots later.
She loves it! ;) :THUMBS-UP:

Original Concept:
I made up some scaled images to get a feel for the sizes etc before I started working on this.
You can see roughly how it was made, sorry no build pictures.
The Tesseract cube itself contains two opposing 8mm UV LEDs and four blue LEDs with another four blue LEDs in the case.

Well technically what he built is a copy of a movie prop however a tesseract is a real thing, it’s the 4 dimensional version of a cube.
If you have a VR device you can download an app that allows you to interact with one in augmented 3D space.
No, there will only be one of these with the containment cube made by me.
I liked Interstellar too
Not in the Marvel universe
I thought of that but I would have had to make it bigger plus the added complexity would be stretching my skills to the limit. I wanted to make this with love, not cursing it!
But yeah, that would have been super cool.
The cube LEDs are UV.
I didn’t take any build pictures, it could not be bought unfortunately as it is a unique gift.

Yeah she was fair away with it
