【convoy】H4 and B35AM options are updated

Clear for all flashlights

I was thinking desert tan but actually I like the standard matt black just as much :+1:

I’m very tempted by the M21A but I would prefer a reverse clicky and a warmer emitter. Are there any plans for these?

Extremely interested in the AAA/10440 host. Any details on a possible release date, MCPCB and driver sizes?

How hard would it be doing a driver swap on the M3?
Any clues from those who have the flashlight already?

And what about desert tan?

The problem is the driver diameter with 26mm. Unfortunately, it cannot use 30mm drivers. So, there’s little to no choice for alternative drivers. The host has so much potential but the driver’s regulation at 50°C is a real downside. The host will not get very warm as soon as the driver already steps down.

I can’t quite tell from the product listing what MCU it’s using, but at least it’s a SOIC8 footprint. So it’s either (1) an AVR which our attiny13/25/etc will swap in, or (2) it’s a PIC and an attiny412 would swap in.

I imagine I could get something cooked up, but I don’t have one of these drivers.

Also it has no physical on/off switch, only an “electronic” button. I mean that the driver is always powered, and it is controlled with the button. If one don’t want to add a switch, it must be taken into consideration.

If someone would build a driver even with this temperature limit, but it would do a dynamic power regulation to hold the limit instead just simply turn down the brightness, I would be interested in it  On a bike clamp I don’t care if it is 50 or 60°C provided that the components can handle it, but if I start pedalling, and the moving air cools it down, I want to get back some of the brightness.

Quite a long tease. Simon when can we order that ti AAA?

Thanks for the reply LP! It just seems that all my modding are being flushed down due to the inexistence of propper drivers…It’s getting frustrating :zipper_mouth_face:

That host seems really incredible and the reflector puts out a lot of light! Too bad the UI (more than the driver itself) is not the best one…

Today I say a review from the Wowtac A5 and it has the UI that I would like to see on this light. Wish that Simon could change it a bit. Even the thermal regulation even if it is not what bugs me the most…

Thanks again for the reply! Danke sehr!

Anyone got one of the original S11s and one of the new ones? Would love to see the difference in the tailswitch board and switch itself.

Failing that, I’m trying to find a 22mm e-switch driver with a non-garbage UI that will fit inside the S11 and get it machined to fit - the new Wowtac A5 fits the bill but I want to replicate it with what I have  (I know, the problem is boost driver - maybe 3v 50.2 with a D4 driver? :stuck_out_tongue: )

SST40 5000K available
SST40 5000K LED
I also added a 5000K option for the related SST40 flashlights

Hi Simon, what bin is the 5000K SST-40?

Never mind, I see it’s N5-DA-VJ!

Oh yes.

Finally a 5000k high binned SST-40.

Now to wait for Luminus to make a 95CRI SST-40 4000k.

I’ll follow you, hope for 3000k to came along….

Heeeeyyy 5000k is not bad, pretty better than 6500k…

Drat!
i just bought the L21a in 6500K …
and the new cells i bought did’dn’t fit …

Now i have to buy a new LED AND new cells …

Good to see the 5000K SST-40 now becoming more available. Placed an order for a few. One will replace the 6500K emitter in my L21A. Excellent light and will be even better with a slightly warmer tint :+1: .

5000k D2 is a good tint bin too.

And a good price!
