“Free” Olight I3E EOS (Desert Tan) - closed

David.

“”Thanks for posting the deal. I just signed up and got one. I know they’re just fishing for registrations, but I’m cool with it. Several years ago I paid over $30 for a purple one for my wife and she ended up giving it to her mother, who has found it very useful. My wife now carries a slightly larger, brighter, AA light in her purse. Big Smile

I will probably start carrying this Olight I3E EOS instead of the OldLumens Copper Astrolux A01.“”“”

I have several AO1’s and the copper i3T.
It has stronger main beam in a 2 step cycle.
Against the 3 step (moonlight) in the AO1.

They both nice, and nowadays I find a 2 cell button light on pocket keys
with either the i3T OR the Jetbeam Jet-1 MK in pocket.
The Jetbeam stronger. but copper nicer.
They both the same thing.

AO1’s more for round the home.

The trouble nowadays. Is too much choice.
It’s órrible… Chuckle.

Dragunbayne.

Regarding wife.
Get hold of her keys. Car and home. and put one of those little round flat cell button lights on each. I bought 10 for around $4.50AUD del.
She probably won’t notice for a month or so.

I also put a Stainless Singfire SN 348 IN her bag in side pocket.

As long as you tell her.
It’ll stay in the inner reaches of the brain that NEVER forgets.
Specially the things YOU do wrong…

Ahahaha,so true! I actually just gave her a button cell for her keys that battery junction sent me free from ordering my Olight S1r baton II I just got.

OFF Track for a sec. and talking about memories.

Coupla cop’s knocked on my door yesterday arvo.
Hi???.

Did you drive off WITHOUT paying for fuel the other day??? says he.

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE… Never.

WHoops OOPs. Oh SHit. Memories.

I have a 20 yr old cycle in servo.
Fuel. Pay bill. Tyres. go. In that order.
Same servo 20 yrs. same cycle.

This time.
I did fuel (diesel). PLUS 2 x 5l cans petrol for mower/chainsaw.
Then… Cleaned windows. did tyres, and drove off.
FORGOT THE BILL.
Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Broke cycle,
and mind elsewhere on shopping for boss lady.

He said. You’d be surprised at the amount of people that do that.
Go round and pay it please. With a chuckle.

I scooted straight round the servo. RED FACED. and paid.
He just smiled and showed me a file with around 20 pages in there.
ALL “pump jumpers” he called them.
18 will be same as you he said.

Forgetful old farts (HE didn’t say that) who break their cycle with something and just drive off.

It’s bloody frightening. Sooo Easy to do. I found.

I’M one of the loudest against that sort of thing.
AND I did it.

Soooo Easy to do.

Lesson for yesterday hey…

Got mine today. Tiny little thing. 2.4” or 61mm. Quite pleased.

I just ordered mine for 5 quid shipping.

Years ago, when living in Charlotte, I went to the fuel station down from my house as usual. No pay at the pump at that station. The people there “knew” me because I came in so often to buy fuel. Their policy is to never turn on the pump until AFTER you provide a form of payment. They’d had too many drive-offs. But they always did it for me as soon as I pulled in, so I didn’t have to come into the store until after I finished pumping. That day, I pulled up to the pump, and after a few seconds, I heard it come alive, so I proceeded to pump my fuel. Then I reached into my pocket for my wallet as I was walking into the store to pay. It wasn’t there!

I’d forgotten to put it in my pocket. I was so embarrassed. The lady cashier said “that’s alright, just come back and pay” and so later on, that’s what I did. When I got back there, she told me that they have to write down every drive-off that happens on their shift, and they get written up and the money comes out of their paycheck. Remember, policy is to demand payment up front. She took the hit for me, and didn’t even tell me until afterward that’s what she did! Of course, I paid her the money I owed her. And she still always turned on the pumps when I drove up. I couldn’t thank her enough. :innocent:

Is this ‘deal’ over…… I couldnt get it to come up? :weary:

Yea, not seeing it anymore. In a few months, there will be some on eBay for $90.

Latecomer here  , squeaked in last few hours, I guess.

Just a coupla $$’s more than your free.+ $5USD postage.
and come free with any order.

Having the copper i3T I don’t think one is needed hey.

Got the Lumintop Tool AAA coupla days ago.
Jeez. the casing as like, paper thin alongside the AO1.
H.M.L settings and no Li-Po cells.
We’ll see if the AA model is an improvement.

I heard the mail carrier’s jeep coming down the road and found my light in the pile of junk mail.

I got it inside, tore it open and am impressed with the construction. It comes with a Pairdeer INDUSTRIAL alkaleak cell (which I promptly removed. Nice of them to supply one, but I don’t want to have to clean up the gunk once it leaks. I swapped in a Ni-MH cell I had laying around, removed the protective disc from the driver and enjoyed the nice and large hot-spot with a good deal of spill.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed, square threads which were already greased and an interesting optic. It doesn’t appear to be reflector with a glass lens, but something different to my aging eyes. Kinda cool.

The packaging is well done and I’m pretty sure this’ll see a good deal of use on my keychain. I’m not sure I’d call it “Desert Tan” though. More towards the brown, but I like it. It’s got a satin finish that I like and the machining allows me to grip it just fine.

Nice job Olight.

It’s probably a TIR optic. I am not sure I have seen anyone else’s TIR look like Olight’s.

Got mine . Nice white tint , nice beam profile .
Real nice .
I wonder how long I’ll have it before the wife swipes it .

Leave it somewhere where she don’t usually go very often , where she keeps the duster perhaps. :open_mouth:  :open_mouth:

Uh, oh… I think they sell pills for this.

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Olight really have no interest in customers outside fr,de, or uk ,sent to both uk and de email how can i buy one to Sweden… not even a reply… thanks for that… This is just utter nonsense that a small crappy light like this is exclusive to certain regions… its not a big beefy light with 100wats of battery that has restrictions on shipment etc… im just so fed up with this :person_facepalming:

¯\ … Two thoughts:

  • Some days are diamond, some days are stone.
  • Sometimes your the windshield, sometimes the bug.

Either way, for better or worse… it is what it is.
