FW3A, a TLF/BLF EDC flashlight - SST-20 available, coupon codes public

But what about a sweet $600 skull clip. I’ll pay $700 if someone can put red trits in the eyes

:person_facepalming: LOL

I have seen people that go to extremes like that and more power to them if they can afford it. Although I’m not gonna lie, I would probably pay a decent bit to get a clip that would allow for deeper carry. In this case I think the gasket is fairly priced and adds a fair bit of functionality that is nice. Unlike my last light I would keep out at night I can find this one without making a loud thud when I knock it over trying to find it.

I was part of the initial group buy and must have got super lucky with first run FW3A (technically second batch I guess as I got a manual). XPL-HI 3D, neutral, very slightly rosy, no green, perfect switch. Not everyone seems to have been as lucky and makes me worried for my next order when the funky colours come out.

Pm CRX on this forum ,he makes them & sells them for about £5-£6.

+1 his gaskets are great and the teal ones have a pretty cool color shift effect as well

Great information! The 7A was much better last night just before moonrise and well after the blue hour. The closest light I have is a 4000K SST-20, which looks very white next to the 3000K. But 4000K looks warm next to the FW3A 3D, as you know. So the 7A will be the campfire light (along with the BLF LT1 lantern that is coming out soon). Thanks for helping.

I received the two SST-20 with Carclo optics I ordered 6 weeks ago. Boy, is this thing small and light!

The next day I promptly dropped one on the floor (hardwood, with some plastic around, no metal), and that gouged a chip about 1mm square. The anodization doesn't seem very robust or hard. I guess I now have a beater I don't need to worry about babying...

That doesn’t look the color of exposed aluminum. Maybe the wood finish transferred to the rough texture of the anodized aluminum? Does a scrubbing sponge diminish it?

It does to me. It’s shiny aluminum.

This spot is on the concave portion of the light. It was not made by dropping on a flat floor. It had to have landed on something that was raised.

Here’s what was on the floor (it fell from one of the perspex side tables).

It could have struck the steel bezel on the Q8. The lamp base is white plastic, so not to blame. The Q8 doesn’t have a scratch, so score one for the Q8, one down for the FW3A…

I have to agree. I zoomed way in as I am on my phone and it does look strange.

Edit: I was going to post a zoomed in image, but it’s being stupid and comes up blank.

Strange, I can’t see either of fazalmajid’s images. :frowning:
I know the problem is on my end because you all are referring to what you see. But I have no idea what the problem is…. :person_facepalming:

Any ideas??

Maybe an ad-blocker or some other privacy thing?
We’re not sure what system you are running.

That is weird...

Usually when someone cannot see pics, I cannot either.

But I see fazalmajid’s images.

I’m on my phone but I never have a problem seeing pictures. It’s got me stumped…. :frowning:
.
Edit to add…. I “never” have a problem unless some other people do also…. as RC mentioned below above.

I can’t even quote the post & see them.

Would some kind soul repost them so I can see if that makes a difference.

I have an adblocker, but I can see the images.

Stupid thing won’t post them for me. There is a pic posted there.

Here is the link.

Fazalmajid hope you don’t mind if I post a link for teacher.

Pics

Yeah… I can’t see the one you posted either.
But…. I went to the link you posted and saw the pic posted below. Can you see it??
.

Yes, I can. It just won’t post for me.
