“Free” Olight I3E EOS (Desert Tan) - closed

depends on your beach I guess…

we have black sand beaches here where many concentrate their efforts at locating the original claim for the nym Gold Beach

I get 102 lumens on an eneloop

the tint is definitely green, and the CRI is definitely not more than 70…. it makes my red test beads look maroon… normal for low cri

great little giveaway for a muggle…
sure to be good for aaa battery sales… lol

So been using this a lot the past few days and I had sent the link to a family member and everyone there is using this little light even though I have given them many flashlights.

The super small size, quality, everything is just easy with this.

I find myself wishing for another version with two aaa, still keeping it as small as possible. It would be smaller and maybe more fun than most other penlights.

and maybe a tiny clip that can go on a hat brim?

Thanks for posting those photos, they look like what I see on mine.

Interesting that you measured within 2 lumens of mine.

The tint also looks like mine. Guess it’s the luck of the draw on what one gets.

SN.40952 checking in.

The light is cute, and that’s about it. I really wish it had a low mode and was able to tail stand. There is some green in the spill area, but not horrible, IMO.

On canvas from left to right: S/N 33049 Desert Tan i3E; S/N H02242778 old black i3E

WB: Daylight

To my eyes the left one looks nicer.

+1 … Left looks best to me too.

It does. The smartphone camera cannot really capture what I saw. There’s quite a difference.

If you don’t mind losing the key/lanyard ring, you can cut off the nub that holds it to the back of the light, or put a small ring magnet around it, to get tail standing capability. I don’t know of any way to add modes to the driver. But you could change it to a linear/FET driver and use 10440, I guess.

If you don’t want to keep it, I’ll give you $5 for it! :innocent:

I don’t really see any green in mine. Compared to my FW3A SST-20 4000K, my Olight I3E EOS is a ‘Creamy White’.

Mine arrived today, fantastic little light. Well made, great brightness for it’s size.

Yes I would call it creamy white .

/\ . :+1: .

Still waiting for my light to be shipped. The German Olight store seems to be a bit slow.

And still waiting for my light. Its stuck with DHL for more than a week now. I hope it will still arrive.

Has anyone here modded their i3e EOS in copper with a warmer emitter?

Curious S/N. Mine is G04113006, and I got it about 3 years ago. Mine is slightly cooler than neutral white, but thankfully not much blue in it. Hint of green. Was thinking if I could get the head apart, I’d slip in some minus-green filter in it.
