BLF Interest List: EX3 High Current Beryllium Copper Silver Plated springs - Still selling my springs :)

Hopefully.

I really hope that this was an individual fluke and not something else.

Anyhoo, it it came down to shipping problems, I’ll just have to include something else to bump up the thickness and protect the LEDs even more.

So these are rosier than the SST-20 4000K that comes with the FW3A? Because I tested my FW3A and FW3C and confirmed Lumintop is using the FD2 tint bin for the 4000K. This is very interesting if these are rosier than the Lumintop batch.

The actual per unit price of these leds is a lot lower than $3 or $4, a lot (and the above comment smells like some bad way to believe). Now imagine you aim to build a lamp with a few dozens of emitters, are you sure you are still wanting to pay $4 a piece? Get real for the love of God. I for sure would not be excusing the screw-up.

Cheers :-)

Received my order. Thanks

If this were a store or online retailer I’d be pissed and looking to return them. But I wouldn’t really expect a return or refund policy from some dude on an internet forum. Honestly I’m pissed but it’s probably just not worth the hassle. Minus the shipping the dead LEDs were $7.50

I’m generally an asshole but I was trying my hand at being nice.

Well…I’m hopeful that all mine will work. I spent a little more than $7.50.

@jasontheguitarist, don’t worry. When you receive your MCPCBs, test out your dead LEDs, and see if they are really dead.
If they are, I’ll talk to the distributor, and refund your 7,50$US.

This is worrying me, as others that only ordered LEDs last GB didn’t have any problems at all using the same shipping methods, and I shipped around 900 LEDs.

I’ll try to make sure everybody is as happy as possible.

I mean, today I tested them directly with my multimeter and I’m pretty confident 5 of them are just dead. But yea, my tracking finally updated and I should get the PCBs on Monday. I’ll reflow a couple of these and extra confirm they don’t work.

No worries anyway. Sent you a refund anyway.

I just don’t care at this point. I barely have any profit margin on the LEDs anyway.

Any aussie folks have their LED and springs yet?

still waiting on mine

I mean, I did ship yours last week, so you’ll probably get it next week or the week after at worst.

Only Europeans and East Asians get to have their packages super fast/reasonably quickly.

All others have to wait.

I’ll be shipping the rest of the packages this weekend and should be finished early next week.

Did my @#$% got on the boat already?

^:)

No, but you’re on the list for this weekend.

Let’s just say that I have a new job at an interesting place that took some time reserved for prepping plus shipping the packages:

Just want to make sure I’m caught up and that my reading comprehension is up to snuff: just LEDs are shipping currently and the springs are not in yet? Orders with springs and LEDs will ship after springs arrive? I know it’s in the 300+ comments but would rather ask than reread all of them.

Both types of orders have been shipped.

I think yours have been shipped already.

Oh yeah, maybe I should post pics of the springs.

No need to make me jealous now. Wait until you make the next batch. :person_facepalming:

That is beyond exciting! Thanks again for doing this.

Got my springs and leds this tuesday. They are awesome. The big springs are indeed much better than the second generation.

Comparison of the second and third generation AgBeCu springs

Much better after compression (Gen 2: compressed, uncompressed; Gen 3: same):

Spring close up, interesting that there are some shiny and some matte parts

The SST20 FD2 have an incredibly nice color rendition and tint, I already build a triple S2+ with them, more to follow.

Can you measure the fully compressed size of big gen 2 and 3?
