WTS/GB: NICHIA 219B NVSL219BT-V1 R9080 EMITTERS! sw45k, sw40, sw35, sw30

*UPDATE: CLOSING SALES OF SW45K FOR NOW UNTIL I CONFIRM STOCK. Feel free to still post qty interested and I will follow up with you should there be any left.

*UPDATE: sw40 and sw45k TEST RESULTS ADDED TO OP

So it looks like the the sw45k has a lower r9 value than the sw40k. What does that mean and which led has the better results?

The SW40K will have better red color rendition.

Wonder what current this was taken at

These were tested at 200mA.

So according to the test results would the sw40k be the better overall performer maybe just a little dimmer?

I wonder why the test result does not show the DUV value. The SW45K seems super rosy according to the graph and the SW40 seems rosy too. Considering it is tested at only 0.2A, at 1A or above, the SW40 should be the better looking tint since the SW45K might be too rosy.

I seriously appreciate the testing, thanks for doing it.
But I too am wondering if 0.2A data is relevant to the power levels we want to run through them.

On paper, yes I would agree that the sw40 should be better in this case.

200mA is on the lower end so we can expect the CRI to drop a bit when more current is used. Still these emitters should prove themselves to be very nice. I plan on swapping some of them into my lights this weekend to see how they perform. Will post beam/tint shots when available. Stay tuned!

And DUV drops as current increases meaning it gets rosier

Updated the OP with DUV data. Thanks for reminding me.

sw40 DUV: –0.0031

sw45k DUV: –0.0044

This will certainly appease the ever growing pink crowd. Not my preference but i’m the minority. If the lower CCT ones end up closer to BBL i’d get a few

Really looking forward to my emitters now…

Sorry for all my questions but what does this show/mean?

Shows tint. If it’s positive it’s above Black Body Locus (green). If it’s negative it’s pink.

Here’s a random website’s graphic, the line in the middle is “0.0 Duv”

But the lower your CCT is the more the “green side” looks yellow. Same when you go to the extreme other end. More blue mixed shades

the k means nice and rosy! its my favorite
the no k is still a little bit rosy

here is the rundown in pictures… (one page back)

and more info
Maybe it would be worth deep diving into Color Temp and Tint.

On average we expect an SW45k to be more rosy than an SW45
I think that is an error
I believe this is more accurate

both the sw40 and sw45k have great red rendering, the 45 CCT is cooler white, and its tint is pinker

Can someone tell me how to differentiate the cathode and anode sections? I also having trouble finding a data sheet anyone have a link. Thanks so much.
