[Review] Acebeam W30 LEP 21700 flashlight

Measured at 10 meter distance.

So you got the W30 high-cri, not the W10 high-cri? Do you think there is a difference between the two regarding the tint (some beamshots of the W10 were linked to a few weeks ago).

This light is rated as diving light 100m but didn't see anyone testing it underwater.

Νο .5W,but exactly 5mW.
Anyway,I have a 5W blue laser pointer.

I understand you so much…

Look at the video. White Laser Flashlight Acebeam W30 WOW!!!

He barely dipped it 1-2 inches into water, any IPX-8/7 rated flashlight can do it specially in freshwater like that, what im really looking to, is seeing this flashlight being used in saltwater or at least dipped for enough time and depth in freshwater.

It is not sold as a dive light and specifications are not always correct. I would hesitate to go salt water diving with my expensive W30 and maybe then go through all the fun with Acebeam’s customer service after water ingression at 25 meter. :confounded:

Its actually classed on ACE Beam website within the diving lights,

you can see the breadcrumbs navigation says diving:

and this slide from Acebeam website also:

and this:

and also written features:

and you till me its not sold as diving light ? and specifications are not always correct!!!!!

I did not check the description well enough, sorry about that. So a diving light it is.

We will ha e to wait for a diver then to check out the W30 underwater.

Guys,

Closest to anything I’ve seen review wise of a dive effort for the W30 is in a pool. Cool to see the light bounce from the surface reflectivity

Cheers!

Love the throw but not the price… Now if it were about $100 I’d be interested.$259 is too rich for my wallet.

I tried to order one from Amazon.de,but by mistake I ordered one 4000K and not the 6500k one.Is there a big difference in tint-lux between the two?
I try to cancel my order but the system sucks.

I have neither but I would assume with previous lights that there will be a noticeable difference in tint. And you will get slightly more lux with the 4000k.

Although, if anyone with more knowledge wants to chime in. . . .

I have just received one of them, but as it is noon here in Athens,I wait till the night.
Until then,I tried to the white walls and the ceiling, but I saw that besides the small-intense center beam spot, there is a large orange corona around this, something that I don’t see in the photographs of the reviewer and I don’t like.
Is it OK?
I have finally ordered it as a 6500°K,but I can’t find where it is written this, because I think if they sent me the 4000°K version.
Edit.
I found written on the box, that it is really a 6500°K version.
Looking that it has a 21700 battery inside,I looked at my four chargers, which are,LiitoKala Li- 500,Thrunite MCC-4S, Nitecore SC4,and XTAR VC4,I see that the 21700 is not compatible to any of them. So,I have to put it in a box and use a 18650 instead,or I have to buy a new charger compatible.
What do you suggest please?
Finally,I tried to put a 18650 in,using the cylidrical case, but it is not working,as the battery length is shorter than this of the 21700 one. So,I found a button top 18650,and now it is working.
And the last one.
I took some photos of the beam spot and saw that while I see orange corona with my own eyes,The photos are the same as the reviewer.A little blue one…

Do they just not list the 21700 as compatible. or does the cell physically not fit into the slots (eg, too long)?

If it fits, it’s compatible.

See the “incompatible” 26650 I charged in my PB2S.

Unfortunately it doesn’t fit to any of them. :frowning:

Mine came with acebeam 21700 which has usb charge port

Thank you very much.I hadn’t seen this.
When I tried to check, it was constant red,so I continued charging it.

Hmm. Howbow something like a Folomov A1, with magnetic thingies you just stick on the ends. Can get ’em for cheap, and I keep one in my bag for charging pretty much any cell.

Whoa… nice sale! Get a few of ’em, as they’re really handy. Fit any cell, toss ’em in a bag, squirrel ’em around the house, etc. I had to wait for a flash sale at GB to get a bunch at that price.
