Subbed so I remember to PM and get some. This stuff looks amazing.

Hey, this may sound like a silly question, but I’m a bit confused by the way “single sided” and “double sided” are used in the context of this list… because they’re mentioned independent of adhesive. Since it’s a sheet, there are “2 sides”… but adhesive can be one side, both sides, or no sides. Yet:

“A single sided. non adhesive”
“Non adhesive double sided”

Can you clarify? Thanks!

Anybody tried dcfix on a xpl or sst20 FW3A to make it more floody or have less rainbow or artifacts in the beam?

I put it on the FW3A when I first got the XPL 3D version .

Later when I got the SST-20 version imagine my surprise when I compared the two lights side by side .

I was blown away how much more throw that the SSt-20 had .....until I realized the other light was wearing diffuser film . DUH

Sorry..... single sided vs. double sided just means there is pattern on either one side or both sides . In many cases a film would be either adhesive or static cling meaning smooth on one side with or without glue and whatever the pattern is on one side ....So I listed it as either one sided or texture on both sides of the material .

the #1 Dc-Fix is a pretty easy to work with film/Cut and paste / but of all the ones I have I certainly don't like it the best

Which one do you like the best?

I'm kind of fond of #7 at this point .. #7 - #2 - #4 - and then #1.

Each material has it's own pros and cons . depending on how you want to use it . Obviously thickness matters if you need the added strength . Mostly i'm concerned about overall quality of the beam.Whether it adds any odd artifacts of tint shifting . the #5 pulls or stretches the beam and lots of diffuser film does this to some degree .Personally it annoys me and dc fix does it ever so slightly too .On the other hand the adhesive on #1 makes it very easy to apply . I'm probably being too picky but that's why I like the #7 or #2 It's like a light frosted . Next question is whether it mixes all the colors in the beam or whether it's actually imparting or changing the tint in some way .

Good diffuser corrects or adds what you want ..while bad material imparts a grey or dull cast and may diffuse but screws up the tint.

Thank you! I get it now. So the DIFFUSION pattern is available being on one or both sides. That makes sense to me now. :+1: So if you have double-diffusion, the light loss is about double of what you’d have with just single-side diffusion? Or is it more like a 50% factor?

Thanks Boaz for perfect service and friendly approach. DC-Fix is superb

Thanks Boaz again, bought some DC-fix from him!!

Boaz, I’m hearing that “milky” (346-0211) is the weapon of choice - is that one of these? If so, I’ll have to get a few sheets. Ideally 4” wide, but I can work with 3.5

Pm sent

Right, I just bought some of this diffuser film and I’m impressed it just fixed a way too pointy headlamp and now it’s nicely spreading the light. Now I’m experimenting it on a few other lights - nice film thank you Boaz!

Just an idea, would you stock/sell some Lee filters?
Are any of you guys on this forum interested in getting some? it’s not particularly cheap but maybe if Boaz gets enough interest/orders he might just stock some, then we could fix some of these green/cold sickly emitters we have giving them the love they should have.

I've been toying with this idea for a while now and think I'll add some of the more common filters /like you said ones that specifically get rid of green tints. Thanks for your order Glenn I'll send you some -1/8 1/4 and 1/2 minus green Lee filters when they get here .

:+1: Thanks buddy, will you stock any warming filters for 6500k tints? I have a few very white not angry blue or green (Osram W1 & W2) they just need a touch up over to the warmer side say 5-5500k.

Surely I’m not the only one wanting these……?

Thank you Boaz just received mine. Very quick delivery. Not even a week to Poland, Wooow.

Edit: just figured out you also put some free samples. Very kind of you, appreciate a lot.

Got mine on Monday, sorry for not updating earlier! Fantastic

Yes I have been fixing some of my not so favorite beam shapes and led colored lights, makes them like new.
