New . . . from the house of E(1320) - the Shadow EJM05

Maybe this is the same driver here

I have 5 but I full fill PCB with silicone grease to manage heat transfer.

I always think to myself "how can he just put them on the bricks like that?!"

Seems like a good mod for it though, but I cant bring myself to step in to the 2 x battery side of things.

I set them down very carefully. The only lights that have been scratched are those I've stripped to silver. Good ano should not scratch when gently placed but, in view of the many comments about this issue, Foy may choose to use a towel.

Drool worthy light. I need one now!!

I have that 5 mode KD driver and this one is not the same this is quite a unique driver. I will admit to ordering more than six (6) different 4-12 volt drivers before I found one I liked and this bad boy does it all. Boost/Buck, thermal regulation, low voltage warning, a very nicely spread 3 mode to boot .07 low, .45 medium and 1.5 high at 8 volts and no useless flashing disco modes . I never got the thermal protection to kick in on Foys beast no doubt due to the massive pill, but it's in there. This driver in this light pushes the single XML to the 3 amp sweet spot and just hangs there until the batteries die. The emitter, reflector, beam, driver combo in this light is pure nirvana, no other light emitting device I have seen comes close.

Put it on a towel? *!ssy ;-)

No seriously - any ano should easily take that in full stride.

Late last night I dropped my trustfire T8 from 1,5 meters on stony ground and not a scratch!

Cleaned it under the tap.

Honestly, Foy, Ledsmoke got to it before me. Cowboy up and don't use the towel. As for the light, I'm a bit envious. Nice work E1320. Enjoy Foy (I made a rhyme H) I must be smarter than I thought. Seriously, I wasn't even trying.)

Just get one of these and then everyone can be happy...

Someone had too much time on their hands.

this the driver? looks great

Yeah it took over 2 months to get it. I had three orders after the driver I received them before the driver finally showed up. Now the website is flaked out I have been trying to order some more for about a week and can't log in.

Hi Foy, I've been wanting to purchase my first 26650 light for a while now. I'd love to have this flashlight with a NW tint and the driver E1320 installed in it. I may have to set money aside for this light.

Great job E1320!

Good stuff guys. I will be interested in your before and after beam shots Foy. As my light does not have memory does this driver have it?

Yep. Has mode memory and no lengthy retention time. Shut it off on low, turn it right back on and it's still on low.

I apologize for not yet putting up before/after beam shots. My wife is working graveyard all week and I'll wake her up if I open the slider to out back for beam shots. Last night I left it turned on with 2 King Kongs and I couldn't trip the thermal protection. I got sleepy after 2 hours waiting for the low voltage to kick in. I'll try again tonight. (love playing with this thing)

I've been using the EJM05 today with 2 x unprotected Panasonic 18650s (the reverend's) with those PVC pipe sleeves I paid a dollar for. It's not a lot lighter but is every bit as bright.

Can you do me a favor and check the amperage draw when the batteries get down around 3 volts each, please.

I could have kept that light for a week and played around with it. It looks like it going to take me a couple months to get more of those drivers and you got the one and I only I bought for testing. I was so excited about how well that thing worked, I did minimal testing before I sent it back to you.

You could have kept it for a while. (glad you didn't) Cool

Will it let me take them down that low? Maybe I misunderestistood the question?

How come they're so hard to get?

Foy

PM me if you need another one or two with which to 'play.'

XtheHoarder

How come every time I need something you have like ten of them in a box somewere? Were do live again and when are not going to be home............um I mean thanks for the offer PM sent.

Is anyone else having problems trying to create an account or looking up shipping costs from this web site?

Nice work Foy and E1320 (I wish you lived in OZ- feel like moving downunder?)
