105E 20mm 7135*8 3.04A Driver question

I recently purchased a 105E 20mm 7135*8 3.04A LED DRIVER from mountain:

The driver works great but I noticed it goes into emergency low mode(flashlight dims and flashes very slowly) pretty quickly so, I checked my battery voltage and it was 3.68v and working fine in another light.

I put a fresh battery in and it did the same thing, and when I checked the voltage it was 3.69v.

Both batteries were 4.1v when I started and I know my meter is pretty accurate.

I am wondering if anyone else has seen this?
Is there some type of adjustment I can do?

I am powering a Cree XML2 with it.

Not sure if there is much you can do about that. The low voltage warning seems indeed very early. It is measured under 3A load btw so the voltage is then a bit lower. What batteries were you using? If they are really bad the voltage under load may get so low that the LVP kicks in very early too. The solution is using higher drain type batteries that keep voltage better under load.

Either the driver is defective or you have a bad contact somewhere, a possible cause in Convoys is the battery tube being backwards.

I was afraid of that.
The Batteries are Old and low drain…
I was planning to purchase some new batteries but life got in the way before I had a chance.

I did order 2 Drivers but I’m waiting on some more LEDs to come in before I install it in my other light.

I was planning on getting Samsung 30Q or 35E.
Do you think both of these would fit the bill?

Both are plenty high drain to drive an XM-L2 at 3A.

As noted above, also check if there isn’t some erronous high resistance somewhere in your build, like dirty electrical contacts or a bad solder joint.
