CBD

I hope I never get arthritis...

I hate bee stings.

Yeah, and it would be kind of hard to stick my hip in the hive.

Tried that once. Didn’t like it.

Stinging nettles (which are abundant here in the UK) help with arthritic pain.

I just googled stinging nettles and it sounds interesting. Creams containing it my help arthritis. Currently using Arnica rub. Next up is Joint Flex. I will give it a try next after them. All cheaper than CBD at this point. Maybe when it becomes more common, CBD will come down in price. Currently about $50-$60 a month by my calculations.

Here is a really well done video about stinging nettle:

I use nutiva organic cold pressed hemp seed oil.
Does not contain tetrahydracannibinol
I get mine from amazon.

And you find it helpful for pain? Soon Amazon will be on the CBD bandwagon. Not sure why they keep skirting around the issue. Supposedly it is legal to ship to all 50 states at the federal level. Maybe state and local laws are holding them back.

Hemp oil does not necessarily contain CBD.

I’d be surprised if there is any amount of CBD worth noting in the “hemp” products sold on Amazon.

Bloody druggies. of differing levels.

ME. I wear a 25? Fentanyl patch. Take Targin pills and used to carry Endone (morphine) in my pocket for when I do things.
To control the pain.
The gov’t has a name for us consistent medical drug users.

Arthritis.
My Missus 73 yesterday.
She has it in back, Hips, and knees.

The best thing we’ve found (for her) Is to keep moving. Heat packs to suit when sitting
and in bed.
and a 32deg 8x4 pool in back yard.

The look on her face after 10 min’s in there. Is a sight to behold.

PURE RELIEF……

I had a stand alone SPA. under deck b4 the pool.
Temp,. set on 38deg.
That was a good cheaper version of relief for anybody
with Arthritis…

People should try one.
Reduces the drug dependency by around 70%.

Although. if you have it in my generation 78yrs.
The imminent coffin effect does a better job.
PERMANENT…. Pain relief. Yep? Chuckle.

WE ALL do it.

I’ll second the 32 degree soak when possible . I soak my ankle every morning for 20 minutes in ice water. Saved me from arthroscopic surgery for 2 years so far. Ice packs on the hip aren’t effective but a total bath in ice water would be. It must hurt though to sit in such cold water. I know my foot gets mighty cold.

Used JointFlex today for the first time and it did help but it is too early to say for sure as I have good days and bad. Might just be a good day plus not much walking today.

Being an Aussie, I’ll bet Macka17 meant 32°C.

That’s about 90°F.

By upgrading to titanium?!

While aluminum apparently may cause arthritis, it’s not the only cause.

@Macka17:

Be very careful with those opiates.

It's too easy to get addicted, and overdose.

...

I used to have a massive amount of back pain.

I was put on several opiates, I took too many, and I suffered for months.

It was by far the worst experience in my life.

EDIT:

But, seriously, I could have died if the circumstances were just a little different, so I am glad to be alive and I am glad to be able to remember that horrible memory.

penzy; yes, it does help; I did a lot of distance running and bicycling (about 15 miles per day on foot and about 60 miles per week on the bike), back in the day; my knees were blown out; the pain is not entirely gone but it is much less.

You are not the first to call CBD, snake oil. But there is no denying it had worked for a lot of people, else how do you explain what is goin on. Also more than anything it is clear that the creams work for Arthiritis etc

Now arthritis is a bit more complicated as not everyone has the same type of arthritis and often underlying causes are ignored by doctors until too late in life.
I do not see something that needs to taken on a daily base on EOD base as curing anything. It is still working like a pain killer.
However if it helps someone taking it daily or every other day then it helps them.

I am open to arthritis help recommendations? CBD helps but some days are worse than others. Anyone have first hand experience with Cissus? I just stumbled upon it this week. Supposed to help with pain.

What type of arthritis do you have?

I have not been to a doctor about it yet . I am trying home remedies first. I have shoulder, hip, finger and ankle pain. My hip is the worst.
