Sky Lumen Nguyen Flashlight

I sure can. I will update post 1.

Following.

I’d be more worried about my Vette than the Light—————————— :person_facepalming:

I would like to know more about the emitter options. Saw at CPF that there will be a 14 emitter option. Is that going to be E21A or 3535 emitters? Also please keep an eye out for BlueSword’s dream bin LH351D emitter. I would like those very special emitters to make this light even more special.

… that packaging is genius!

when will the remaining tests be up on Youtube?

Linear CC, PWM’ed FET or other type of driver?

Emitter options?

Driver LVP and reverse polarity protection? Protected cell seems an odd choice for a quad hotrod (at least I assume its a bit of a hotrod since you made it  )

Can we start with the copper version right off the bat? Fine, I’ll take two. The clip actually is such a nice minimalist design, gives it a post-modern look. Designer is an artist

XP size footprint for the 14 LED option

It will be a while until I can do runs with exotic metals as collectible but it would be cool to make a few.

 How does it fit though? That will be mule for sure right.

That’s the fun part

14 LEDs??!! It’s 100% Mule and I am in if you show us some pictures

What made you decide to go with tube walls over half a centimeter thick?

This light engine is in design phase. Was going to do 16. But actually might reduce to 12 to improve trace width.

Its only 5.77mm at its thickest with out threading

No. I mean 14 (or 12) installed in the light. Light engine option wise there can be like +50

I got this budget Infared Thermometer on Amazon for number 5 heat test. Seems off. For example my wall seem colder than 72F and, my skin less warm than 88F, a metal surface I heated up that is burning to the hand was only 200F, icecream in the freezer at a low 17F. I guess worst case we will just use it as a guidance on temp changes rather than accuracy. I am sure someone here got one right? Are these numbers way off?

the wall could be right. you can try your temple or the inside of your mouth, should be >90

problem is two things though, these are terrible with taking temps on reflective metals and second where that laser pointer is and where it’s actually measuring can be pretty far off on something as small as a flashlight

By the way its crazy how much adrenaline I went through. Doesn’t seem much on video but I was crazy nervous and excited. Off camera we did a test run over a “normal” light and yeah it was crushed. That made me soooo worried!

I was thinking if the head got crush then I will be VERY screwed! I wouldn’t know what to do. Literal devastation. I am so happy we made it this far. In fact I couldn’t sleep more than 4 hours last night thinking about everything and what’s next. Whooo
