The LH351D is still in planning. I’m waiting to get back a response to see how many units we need to get the T tint bins we want.
The problem is that last time, the min quantity to have some choice in tint bins was 5000pcs, so while something like 2000-2500pcs would be a huge improvement still, it would still be way too big, even for me.
HOWEVER, one thing is certain: after I sell off the rest of the SST-20s, I will probably order another 950-1000pcs batch since I have confirmation that my distributor is stocking SST-20s FD2. Not FA1 yet though.
Will FA1 ever be made? If so, that would be OMG sweet!! Maybe you can team up with MTN or maybe talk to TA and see if he can get Lumintop or Mateminco to do a joint order for the FA1 tint bin. TA was the one that got them to use the FA3 and FD2 in their lights.
Btw, I don’t really trust Samsung binning. The two LH351D groupbuys in the past was supposed to be primarily below the BBL but both ended up far above the BBL. Hopefully the batch you get will be below the BBL and even on at low amps would be good enough.
You know, what could be the reason for under BBL bins to be “harder” to get?
Is it really harder for them to be made? No. They just have to tune the phosphor recipe differently.
So? Because lemons, lemmings, etc. The greener or higher Duv, the more lumens. Thus, no surprise they are made so they meet the CRI spec while being able to bin them higher and claim more lemons. They game the crap of it. Is this bad? Wellp, in my honest opinion sort of it is. Is it…

Still haven’t received any response from the concerned people who wanted their LEDs in the GB.
As said before, once Wednesday morning rolls around and nobody answered, I’ll ship the LEDs to other people.
Seems like nobody responded for the 4000k SST-20s.
Will send a PM soon to these people:
