These soldering iron work fine i used a Yihua clone since 2015 but its not working right any more. So i upgraded to a similiar model model as Lexel posted these soldering irons are a newer technology they have the heating element built into the tip for a better more precise temperature control and heat up much faster.
I also bought a hot air gun that was a Yihua clone and it was a bit dodgy as it has no earth connected at all so just be careful on what you buy. Id probably tray more towards the Yihua brand more than other clones.
If you have a look around you can find them cheaper. Similar to the one posted just smaller and cheaper.
you need one that can supply a lot of heat quick, so the thermal resistance needs to be low as well as a good heating element
usually the best ones are where you have the heating element being one piece with the tip and then have one with thick short tip
the Hakko clones are basically a DTP soldering tip
I was able to reflow two emitters with no problem at all.
One was on a S70S, which has like a 50mm board. Worked like a charm. And takes the wires right on and off.
It does have a heat element that goes all the way up, the tips are hollow and slip over it.
