The SST-20s that Lumintop are using are divine. So are the 219Cs to be honest. Not a visible hint of green to me, and I’m quite sensitive about tint. As for the futureelectronics site, unfortunately it seems that there are some quite high minimum order quantities. I’m also in the UK and wish to buy a selection of different optics to try out. I need to remember to check out Arrow and Mouser to see if they will allow me to purchase single units without prohibitively expensive shipping.

I’m still searching for a source of 10621 optics that isn’t hugely expensive for shipping. At least I can order 10507s from China for cheap… Would be interested if you find anything.

Have anyone tried UK Amazon for Carclo optics?

When ordering a new optic do we also need a new lens for the newer FW3a models does anyone know? I may just order from Neal’s gadgets to be sure. Might as well get another light when I’m at it

Unrelated note - nobody has received a raw aluminium FW3A yet have they? I ordered one yonks ago, but it still hasn’t shown up despite the other stuff I ordered at the same time (including a purple FW3A) arriving weeks ago. I just checked on my order and I can see that the raw aluminium one hasn’t even been shipped yet.

the 219C that SKV and myself received was not good. Next to the SST-20 it’s visibly higher Duv. It has lower CRI than both Samsung and SST-20 and worse tint than both with too high current draw to top it all off. I do have a good 219C specimen from years ago but this is not it. (at least in my sample of 1 FW3A)

Yesterday i got FW3TC with 219C and i can confirm the tint is awefull.

These are going to be swaped out for sure.

Lumintop FW1A discussion and review

My review of this light is now done for anyone interested in reading. Let me know if you have any questions! Update: I have a couple samples of the production light. These are one in SST-20 and one in XP-L HD I believe. I'll write up a review for everyone, but my initial impressions are great. Took them on a night hike just last night, and the beam with the SST-20 is a perfect blend of floody enough for trail walking, wiht more than enough throw to see where my dog runs off to in large clearing…

I got some protected 35E’s and they fit in my 219c and sst20 FW3As but not in my titanium and copper version. That has a different tail switch arrangement.

Yes and in one of my copper ones the switch sucks

Absolutely hated the switch in my titanium version, too soft/mushy and no click what so ever. Swapped it with the switch from my aluminum and its perfect now. Nice solid click and you actually have to apply pressure instead of breathing on it to activate. Wonder if the different size plastic nub has anything to do with it?
