New!
December pre-orders are now open . . . 20% OFF!
Hey Backers! Hope everyone is well.
Surveys will go out some time this week!
Today is the last day of the "quiet period" required by Kickstarter. We are ready to send out surveys pending the funds transfer. The quiet period ensures all of the pledges are processed and gives people time to resolve any credit card issues. If there was a CC problem, Kickstarter will have contacted you over the last two weeks.
Next Steps:
Once we verify the funds, surveys will go out to a small subset of backers. This is to ensure we didn't forget anything in the setup process and to make sure everything is clear. Once we get a certain amount of feedback (and verify our setup) we'll send out 100% of the surveys. The lag time shouldn't be more than a day or two.
I'm clarifying this point because people will start commenting that they got their survey and others will comment they have not. This is part of the process to ensure you are just as happy with your backer experience as the final product ;)
The Survey:
We use BackerKit to collect your shipping info an to confirm your Kickstarter pledge. You'll also be able to view and pledge for "add on" items via the survey. We are friends with the folks over at BackerKit and we've used them to fulfill/manage all of our 6 previous campaigns. You will not receive a Kickstarter survey. I only point this out for folks who have backed other projects that did not use BackerKit to manage their fulfillment.
Using BackerKit is not a requirement, but it makes our life (and yours) a lot easier. Please consider that if we need to collect your pledge confirmation manually, we are spending time doing email and not getting shipments out the door :) I and your fellow backers thank you for your cooperation!
Cheers,
Jason and the Prometheus Team
Hey folks. Hope everyone is well! Let's get down to business.
Many of you have already received the email and verified your pledge. Thanks! If you haven't already, please do that as soon as you can. This helps with a few things.
1) This is how I collect your shipping address so I can ship your reward!
2) Filling out your Backerkit survey is the only way I can get an accurate count on how many items we need to ship, and we need an accurate count to make sure we have enough stock to avoid delays. I will literally be pulling my hair out until everyone gets their information updated, and I can't afford to lose much more hair.
3) Completing your survey ASAP also means you and your fellow backers will receive your rewards in the most timely manner. Please don't wait :)
4) If you didn't get the survey, please check your spam filter and also note that the email will go to whatever address you have on file with Kickstarter. If you changed your registered email address *after* you backed this campaign, the email will go to the original address, not the new address.
5) If you have any questions or concerns about anything on the BackerKit platform, please email them directly via support@backerkit.com
Thanks, you folks rock!
Jason & the Prometheus team
Hey Backers!
Many thanks to the 91% of you who have completed your BackerKit surveys! If you have not completed your survey, please do so ASAP. You would have received several emails already, so if you can't find them you can email support@backerkit.com and they can help you out.
We will lock down all confirmed surveys this Wednesday, charge your cards for add-ons, and begin shipping Thursday!
So, this is your last chance to update your survey with any add-on items. It's a great chance to pick up accessories like batteries and chargers at a discount. Thanks so much for your support and we are looking forward to getting your rewards out to you!
Cheers,
Jason & the Prometheus Team

$50 for a AAA clicky light? I dunno. I’m possibly warming up to it though. Just a quick question. Does this particular 219C have that horrible green tint that I notice on all other 5000K 219C’s? I like 5000K but haven’t seen a 219C yet that looks good at that temp. 4000K looks phenomenal though.
Are you talking about the Preon P1? Mine has a little green tint on the low mode, but at higher modes it is pretty much a neutral white. Unfortunately I don’t have any other 5000K flashlights to compare to. I usually go for 4000K.
Yes, I guess that would have helped if I had mentioned that I was talking about the Preon.
I have been buying more and more 4000k emitters to put in some lights and I now lean towards that temp when thinking about buying a new one.
Thank you.
That aspheric setup is nice.
But have you considered making an aspheric flooder? Myself I love that smooth flood with sharp edges. And I love the compactness as well.
BTW, is there a new Quark Mini AA on the horizon?
