BLF Interest List: EX3 High Current Beryllium Copper Silver Plated springs - Still selling my springs :)

Oh, I never really understood the outcome of that post and what it meant for the GB.

I guess something is lost in the translation —-Made me wonder to

What about the LH351D 4000K—-You still looking into them

Ok then.

Orders with only springs will be shipped this Monday.

Those with LEDs will have to wait since there’s a customer who requested the last LEDs, and he payed on Tuesday, so will ship on Friday.

Hey BlueSword the XHP70.2 high CRIs are 3.7 V right? Can you pls put me down for 5 of those

And for those dream LH351Ds count me in for 25!!!

No, sorry. No GT-FC40 GB here.

And no problem for the LH351D.

I should be getting an answer of the amount of LH351Ds needed.

If it’s more than 1000pcs at a time, then it’s not realistic.

I thought normally, the more you order the easier it is to get the binning you want. So in the case of the LH351D, is it because these dream bin are already produced and only a handful of them are left and cant be made anymore?

Do these springs fit the FW3A? I’ve melted mine and need replacements.

Not in the stock FW3A unfortunately.

How did you melt them though?

They’re BeCu springs inside too. You’d have needed a massive short with a very high drain cell to have caused any damage

Yeah… Well, I was swapping out the leds using Mtn boards and didn’t realize that one of the stars didn’t match up to the markings on the leds. When I turned on the light, it immediately got hot and I turned it off. I had a Samsung 30q in the light. Took it apart and the springs were flat.

Last SST-20s will be shipped tomorrow.
Didn’t even keep some for myself, but I don’t care, especially since I decided to make another SST-20 FD2 GB, although in December.

Also, some other news.

The LH351D dream bin needs to be order in quantities of 2000pcs.
Therefore, until I have enough funds to buy without a GB, since these are more expensive than even the LH351Ds payed from AEDe.

They’re quite a bit more expensive, but that would be worth it since these are rather high brightness binned, and more importantly, color tint bin is superb.

Anyway, I’ll close the SST-20 FD2 GB since there are no more LEDs to be sold anymore.

Is there anyway you might be able to get a sample of the LH351D dream bin. If it tested really good, I will double my order, which with good test results I’m sure others might get more interested and want more, that might get you alot closer to 2000pcs.

No way. They said absolutely not.

Otherwise, I’d have already sent a sample to maukka and djozz, along with Bob_McBob.

The problem being is that my contact is doing this for me since I worked at a lighting manufacturer: that was the only way she got the deal to “only” need 2000pcs to order them, and she convinced the Samsung electronics distributor to agree. Period of ordering has been defined as indefinite.

Otherwise, 5000pcs would be the minimum quantity.

I’m really lucky that the reason OEMs aren’t getting these is that they are quite expensive to “ordinary” LH351Ds, so not many OEMs ordering it at all.
The funny thing is that tint mixing is getting so much attention that high tint binned regular below BBL LEDs aren’t selling as well as before, as tint mixing can allow for cheaper per meter LED luminaires for a given CCT with as little tint shift as possible and varying CCT options and more granular control of brightness.

Well if the pricing is like what Arrow shows for that quantity it would be $0.88-0.98/ea (plus tax I guess)

You would probably have to cut your profits to sell 2,000 in a reasonable amount of time and get people to increase their order (unless you arranged MTN or someone else to buy like like a quarter of them at cost or something)

That price is actually quite a bit higher than 1,00$US, even more than what AEDe sold it for.

If your price is “quite a bit higher” than $1 USD then I wouldn’t do it if I was in your shoes.

Man that bin sounds so special. Can I up my order from 40 to 70?

Also what I found about tint mixing is that it seems to increase Rg value for more saturated colors. I like that. However, the same 3500K tint mixed produces more blue wavelength than a normal 3500K emitter. So if you plan to use it as a nighttime bedside lighting then that might be worth considering.

Sign me up for 30x dream bin LH351D. Let’s make this happen!

For that kind of tint bin increase my order to 70

I’ll take 30 dream tint LH351Ds if you decide to make it happen.
