Just my $.02, Victor, but I just don't have a good feeling about those Keygos 26650 cells. Quite a few folks have the Kongs and they seem to be honestly rated. I think it's worth a few more bucks. By the way, I don't think the INR King Kongs are in stock, only ICR available.
Funny you should mention that. After waiting more than 20 days for a shipping notice I finally received it today. Can you say woohoo When I receive it a month from now I will post another quick and dirty of this JM05 clone.
Well we in the same boat and same light. DX sent me email today, and told me that my light was shipped on the April 13th, along with a tracking number. Don't tell me that we gotta wait another month for the "slow boat from China?"
I wouldn't want to state if it would or would not overheat without proper testing. Just based on looking at it's construction and design it might do ok for short periods. The pill does screw into the head to allow heat transfer, and those fins do provide some additional cooling capacity in addition to just looking good. Just my .02 cents.
I have the Uniquefire version (UL-2180) and after about 15 minutes the entire body is hot enough for me to worry about what that does to the battery. Maybe I am worrying over nothing, but it does get hot to the touch.
I didn't know there was a difference.. Just like the Keygos M12, sometimes it is refered to as M12a, and sometimes just plain M12. As far as I know, there are not TWO M12s?
Same with the Keygos M10, I think!!!.. Is there a DIFFERENCE??
It won't take 3x18650 in it. A 26650 usually gives the runtime of two regular 18650s, but still, I don't think this light supports the voltage of two liion cells. A dual cell, properly driven light with an efficient buck circuit may have an advantage with 2x 3100mAh Panasonic 18650s.
My 2 Keygos M10s arrived today. Ordered them from Go_Market on Ebay on 4/1/12. They arrived on the 16th. IMO, pretty fast.. Also they were wrapped pretty good too. Each light was bubblewrapped in a box. Then the two boxes were wrapped double with bubblewrap.
I fired them up with Keygos 26650s just in my house they beamed good. Waiting for tonight to see them in the dark. However, I won't get any pictures because I misplaced my charger for my Nikon!! My bikeroom looks like the amityville horrow too, so finding the charger will be like pulling eyeteeth..
I got this shot off with no flash before my Nikon died..
The light looks good, no nicks, or marks. Just a handsome light. Going to mount them on a bike too.
