I'm kind of fond of #7 at this point .. #7 - #2 - #4 - and then #1.
Each material has it's own pros and cons . depending on how you want to use it . Obviously thickness matters if you need the added strength . Mostly i'm concerned about overall quality of the beam.Whether it adds any odd artifacts of tint shifting . the #5 pulls or stretches the beam and lots of diffuser film does this to some degree .Personally it annoys me and dc fix does it ever so slightly too .On the other hand the adhesive on #1 makes it very easy to apply . I'm probably being too picky but that's why I like the #7 or #2 It's like a light frosted . Next question is whether it mixes all the colors in the beam or whether it's actually imparting or changing the tint in some way .
Good diffuser corrects or adds what you want ..while bad material imparts a grey or dull cast and may diffuse but screws up the tint.
Thank you! I get it now. So the DIFFUSION pattern is available being on one or both sides. That makes sense to me now. :+1: So if you have double-diffusion, the light loss is about double of what you’d have with just single-side diffusion? Or is it more like a 50% factor?
Boaz, I’m hearing that “milky” (346-0211) is the weapon of choice - is that one of these? If so, I’ll have to get a few sheets. Ideally 4” wide, but I can work with 3.5
Right, I just bought some of this diffuser film and I’m impressed it just fixed a way too pointy headlamp and now it’s nicely spreading the light. Now I’m experimenting it on a few other lights - nice film thank you Boaz!
Just an idea, would you stock/sell some Lee filters?
Are any of you guys on this forum interested in getting some? it’s not particularly cheap but maybe if Boaz gets enough interest/orders he might just stock some, then we could fix some of these green/cold sickly emitters we have giving them the love they should have.
I've been toying with this idea for a while now and think I'll add some of the more common filters /like you said ones that specifically get rid of green tints. Thanks for your order Glenn I'll send you some -1/8 1/4 and 1/2 minus green Lee filters when they get here .
Thanks buddy, will you stock any warming filters for 6500k tints? I have a few very white not angry blue or green (Osram W1 & W2) they just need a touch up over to the warmer side say 5-5500k.
