I need to choose the adecuate configuration to make a very powerfull FLOODY flashlight. I dont need throw, I need flood.
1) which LED will be more adecuate to make the most floodier flashlight? XM-L is a good option?
I think so, mine have to arrive in 7days or so, in skyray p60host.
You probably want to skip leds such Q series and R series if not XP-G package. Those are still best for throwers if not used in zoomies.
Have not found yet a zoomie with R5, reasons must exist i believe. Would not reccomend you a zoomie because by design much of the light gets lost for verstility.
Better a flood only option. I played with lenses on p60 hosts without much success (flood wise).
2) size of reflector... what is needed? Big in diammeter? Small in diammeter?
The general consensus for big and deep reflectors are best suited for throw.
..... Will be a P60 adecuate to make good flood?
Think so, orange peel reflector perhaps a bit unscrewed to defocus the hotspot might be good for your application.
The p60 host strngth is it's verstility and size. Not a champion anywhere else. Perhaps more forward to floody than thrower. The beam type is mostly dependant on led type.
3) Will be interesting, to wait until DX brings a P60 host with a P60 dropin with XM-L t6 LED?... Will that configuration fit my needs?
KD has them even cheap! C2 was added recently at a favorable price. I wish manafont would bring XM-L's soon.
You may also wait till this thing arrives to me (in a few days hopefully):

Not expecting it be powerfull but a great toy to play/mod with.
A cheap ass but good looking zoomie with crappy driver probably and unknown led emitter perhaps a q3.
Runtime needed? XM-L might be a bit lacking in that department with only one 18650 if properly driven.
