on the site could you please add a 26350 battery to be able to buy it too? I mean you only letting us buy the 26650 so yep
Hell yeah… and I hope you can make the d1s-v2 with a short tube that we can actually put a 18350 and a plastic tube to make the battery not shake around pleease i know it looks silly but there are few of us that like silly things
It’ll probably weigh about the same as the titanium+copper V1 did. Both materials weigh more than aluminum.
Titanium can be made to weigh less, but only because it is stronger so the material can be thinner without sacrificing structural integrity. But when the size and shape are the same, titanium is heavier than aluminum.
Aluminum is probably more practical most of the time. So, for practical purposes, I would configure the D4v2 to be black or grey aluminum with a steel bezel and pocket clip, with XP-L HI 3A. That is my favorite version currently sold in the store.
Yes. I’m an aware of the material properties, but I didn’t realize how much material was in the light in v1 until I got ti/cu. It was the super heavy. I’ll pass on v2 of it’s basically the same weight.
While the main LEDs are on, the button LEDs mirror what the main LEDs are doing. So it blinks out battery voltage in battcheck mode, and blinks out temperature in tempcheck mode. It goes dim and bright in sync with the main LEDs, which indicates when it’s in regulated or hybrid modes and looks neat in lightning or biking mode.
While the main LEDs are off, the button LEDs mirror what the aux LEDs are doing — off, low, high, or blinking.
FWIW, I have no idea if the button LEDs will be used in anything except the titanium D4v2. It might only be available as part of a limited-run special edition.
After receiving the E07 full brass edition, I would prefer a Full Brass D4V2 over my titanium D4.
The brass threads are so much smoother than the titanium teeth-grating galling drag every time you change/charge the battery.
You just know they are chewing each other up.
Why the aux led control is different when locked or unlocked?
I find myself a lot of times changing by accident the mode (low/high, beacon, off) of aux leds when trying to get out of lockout by 4 clicks (miss a click and you will change the aux leds mode… )
Aux led control should be 7 clicks no matter if it’s locked or unlocked
I also find it too easy to get to config modes by accident, a lot of times when I’m in moonlight and I think that the flashlight is off and I click 4 times for lockout but get to ramp config instead. Why not 4 clicks to go to lockout even when the flashlight is on?
It’s the same for 3 clicks, from off it gets you to blinkies but if you do 3 clicks it changes from smooth ramping to stepped….
