The latest Vapcell high capacity and high current 18350 cell.











The two cells matches nicely and can also deliver the rated 9A, but they do have serious trouble at 15A.























Conclusion

This is from the new high power 18350 generation and it looks good.

Strange that they went backwards. This is worse than the earlier 18350 1100mAh, but at least this pair of the newer cells were closer to each other. Aspire still reigns best.

Not so strange, it seems factory opted for downgrading product specifications to solve performance inconsistencies

Unfortunately the Aspires were discontinued a while a go. Luckily I bought some after knowing they were about to be depleted. I also bought a bunch of earlier Vapcell 18350 and they were similar in performance to the Aspires. The more recent Vapcell 18350 are from the more recent batches of the same cell after the manufacturer downgraded the performance. These are my test results from earlier batches:

Aspire 18350: 1198/1102/1166/1160 mah
Vapcell 18350: 1156/1155/1019/1149/1126 mah

The general performance is about the same indicating same cell. There is one Vapcell that tested 1019mah and I retested it to be about the same capacity so it is definitely low but still better than most other 18350.

If you look carefully using HKJ's comparator, the curve shape of the “Aspire” cells (Aspire, KeepPower, UltraFire, Vapcell) is was different. I can't say if this is due to a reduction in manufacturing costs by the same OEM, or a different OEM product altogether.

The BestFire IMR18350 was the first high discharge 1000+mAh 18350 cell reviewed by Henrik to show such (different) discharge curve shape.

It also looks like a progressive regression if you follow the reviews by date: Aspire 1st; then KeepPower, Vapcell and UltraFire (BMS protected); at last BestFire and the newer Vapcell.

Compared with the previous vapcell 18350 1100 MAH 10A, the 9A battery capacity has been reduced a little, but the power has been improved a little, and the consistency is better.
