*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

I did not know that, looks an impressive amount of countries. I hope that the free shipping and cost-free customs passing that is common for chinese packages will work just as well through Amazon, or better. I’m ok I think, Amazon-de is within the EU.

At first thought, amazon de could have also worked for me, but I guess, there will be shipping prices like 15-25 EUR, and that will greatly hinder the discount given by the original group price agreement.

@sbslider I just know that at the moment all the offers from Sofirn on amazon won’t be shipped to Switzerland. It is possible for sellers to ship to Switzerland, but most of them do not want the hassle and opt out of all countries except the ones that are part of the EU customs union.

So… What is Sofirn’s Amazon.de store, is it the “77 Outdoor” store?
Looking at the seller information and comparing to the AliExpress business license they seem to match, 8th floor Ji’anju building etc etc.

Not exactly. You’re from Hungary? If an item is dispatched from and sold by Amazon or Fulfilled by Amazon (=sent by Amazon from their warehouse) then it looks like Standard Delivery to Hungary is 5.99€. Express Delivery would be 8.99€.

Of course there should be VAT included in the prices so there’s that. Not sure what the price of LT1 will be on Amazon.

But of the dozen Sofirn flashlights I looked at on Amazon.de sold by 77 Outdoor almost all were Fulfilled by Amazon.
And those that were not, as in dispatched from and sold by 77 Outdoor i.e. from China, say Free Delivery on them. But at that point it makes no difference to buy on Amazon or on AliExpress since that item will ship from China.

Edit: Oh and let’s not forget that Amazon.de offers free Standard Delivery to certain EU countries if the order amount exceeds a certain amount. This applies to dispatched from and sold by Amazon and Fulfilled by Amazon products.
29€ limit: Belgium, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
39€ limit: Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland (yey), Poland and Sweden

Of course there’s also Amazon Prime stuff but this post is long enough already.

I already have you in for 2.

If it is not too late I would like to add two more lights to the group buy for a total of four lights. I currently have #769 and #1631.

FWIW, one can navigate to their BLF account and send themselves a Personal Message to verify they are setup for the upcoming LT1 PM.

Please add 2 to my order.

Should be at a total of 3 now.

Ouch. The price is almost that of a Fenix CL30R. Since I already own that, I can’t justify the price on the LT1.

Corrected a typo lol

That would only confirm that they can get a PM. However it doesn’t confirm that their BLF user name is correct in my database which is the source that will be used for sending out the LT PM. I know for a fact that there is a WWWW entry (#117) on the list that does not exist in BLF and as such that person won’t be getting a LT PM.

Since it only takes a few minutes (and is a 1-time thing) to verify the accuracy of one’s name in the linked Excel files I think it behooves everyone to do so.

In addition since it appears that sending out a PM for each lantern requested with a unique code is on the boards everyone should also verify that their count is correct as they will only be getting as many PM’s as I have them in for.

I could also send out a test PM to everyone and see which one’s are rejected but I don’t think that people will be happy getting spam’ed

Yes you can!

The Fenix CL30R is over $100 US. The LT1 group buy is half that. Spend $13 more and get 4x 3000mAh batteries compared to the Fenix 3x 2600mAh. The only real feature disparity I see that benefits the Fenix is use as a power bank.

Not really since the price you’re seeing on Sofirn’s AliExpress page is not the BLF discount price which is going to be around $50 (depending on options of course).

Edited to say that amishbill beat me to the punch

I would have been faster but I spent time trying to find a Fenix CL130R which does not seem to be a real product. :face_with_monocle:

Looking at the Fenix CL130R specs the BLF lantern look much better to me even if the prices were the same. Which they’re not of course.

Better performance and features at half the price….seems like an easy decision to me

Where did you find a CL130R? The closest I could find is a CL30R.

OK, it is a two step process: First go to the spreadsheet link and verify your BLF name, and then send yourself a PM. I think sending everyone a practice PM, may cause a lot of confusion IMHO.

Hahaha…I spent some time Googling too and it appears that it can only be bought directly from Fenix.

Right which is why I’m not going to, or even ever planned on, sending out a test PM.

I think for the most part that just going to the spreadsheet and visually verifying that one’s name is correct is good enough. But the extra step you suggested is definitely the definitive test.

I only found the CL30R so I assumed that was what he meant
