I am interested in a Blue MF01S 4000k or 5000k. The blue seems to be completely out of stock. Will more be added?

From August 2, 2019

Once they are gone, they are not making more.

Is the coupon still active? I get “This coupon only applies to specific products” when I try to use it. I’m getting into this late but would love to pick one up.

I guess you meant US warehouse. There are a couple of Blue 5000k from CN warehouse.

Hi does somebody measured the lumen output of 5000k version? Because I saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3KoRw0gLaU and the reviewer said that the 5000k version is 11 610 lumens. But it should have about 14 000. The 4000k should have about 11 000. I saw the other review from Flashaholics who had 6500k version and he measured over 16 000 lumens at startup. So I am confused.

Our coupons only work for CN warehouse. [quote=LTC]

  1. Cool white LEDs would definitely yield the higher output than neutral and warm white LEDs.
  2. It is not easy to take accurate readings for beyond 8K lumens without laboratory grade equipment.
  3. Battery does make a difference in peak output.

A couple of points.

This new MF01S uses a FET driver, so output is directly effected by the battery you use. I’m not sure what battery Matt used to measure 11,610, so I will ask him. I think he used protected Acebeam cells. Protected cells always add resistance and measure lower. I’m sure he will measure higher output with unprotected high drain cells. His lumen tube looks well designed and it’s using good calibration sources. I trust his measurements.

The Flashoholics guy doesn’t know much about measuring output and is a total jerk. He made his own light box after crapping all over the PVC tube type and has no calibration source. The output at start up is not even how it’s rated. You need to wait 30 seconds (if possible). I don’t trust his measurements at all regardless if they seem close or not.

Regarding the grit/sand/gravel inside the MF01S box — I also noticed those on mine.

I cleaned up the grit from the foam inside the box. However, when I checked again another time, there’s a few more grit inside — it turns out those “grit” actually come from the “desiccant silica gel” (or something equivalent). The small ‘bag/pouch’ of “silica/grit” were spilling out since the pouch looks to be punctured.

I wonder if it could be the same thing in yours.

Maybe that could be batteries but I don´t know if there will be so drastic difference between two types of batteries. But maybe yes. I am still waiting for my flashlight so I will see. I read that we could use flat top batteries too right?

I’m interested in the code if it’s still available

Code still available?

But he sure makes interesting flashlight review videos! Probably the most entertaining reviewer on youtube, followed by Matt Smith.
Is he a jerk though? That’s a bummer to hear.

He was bad mouthing Texas_Ace and his lumen tubes. He bought one on Ebay and was disappointed his flashlights didn’t meet their rated specs. We all tried to explain to him this is normal. Factory rating are often exagerated. TA offered a refund for him to not leave negative feedback (it was his wife’s Ebay store which had a perfect rating) and he agreed to that. Once he got his refund he refused to remove the negative feedback. It was a scumbag move. He changed his user name on BLF, but a lot of us know who he is.
I watched and liked a few of his videos before all this happened, but now I just skip his stuff.

+1

Can you send me the code for the flashlight and diffuser please.

thank you

I figured it out thanks! Im not sure if its my browser or your site but I had a little issue pulling it up.

Interested.
