My two last remaining questions are still opened:

  1. Can somebody help me on the "Switch Backlight" chapter. I'm confused of the behavior, and don't want to translate something I'm not sure of getting.
  2. Can somebody detail me this paragraph from the "Ramp Configuration" section: Note the default (after a battery change or other power interruption) for LT1 setup the smooth ramp will turn on at level 65. For the stepped ramp, the output level choices by default are 10 / 45 / 80 / 115 / 150. The LT1 will turn on at level 80 by default. Once the floor and ceiling levels of the LT1 are changed as described below, the LT1 will remember these changes even after the power is interrupted. After the stepped ramp is changed the lantern will come on at the programmed level closest to 65.
    1. Why does STEPPED and SMOOTH does not share the same default (65 vs. 80)?
    2. What are the various defaults for SMOOTH? Or on the opposite why are there multiple defaults for STEPPED?
    3. Why does the STEPPED RAMP would want to be as close as possible to level 65 on start after a programmation?

They are needed so I can fully finish the translation.

I’ll try to help. Not sure what your question is on the switch backlight, I didn’t go back and read all the posts closely, please ask a detailed question.
As far as your 3 questions on the ramped configuration section go,

  1. That’s the way ToyKeeper designed the firmware. default is level 80 for smooth. In stepped, the region between the bottom and top of the stepped range are user configurable, and the firmware divides the region up evenly depending on the user’s choice of steps. ToyKeeper chose the defaults listed. For stepped ramp, the default is the level closest to level 80, which is 65 for her design of the default. Hope that explains it.
  2. Hmm, not exactly sure what your asking. The defaults are listed on page 2 of the english version in the section called Ramp Configuration, 3rd paragraph. Is there more your looking for? All of this is user programmable, so once it is changed by the user the “defaults” change.
  3. The grammar in this question is hard for me to understand. I think the answer is that’s the way ToyKeeper programmed it. You can never change the level wanting to default to at (smooth ramp) or near as possible (stepped ramp). You can change the bottom and top of the ramps independently for each ramp type, and the number of steps for the stepped ramp, but not the default level at which the lantern will turn on with a single click after the battery is replaced. Once the user changes the factory defaults, they can be reset, but I don’t think that got put in the manual as to how, at least I didn’t find it at glance right now.
