Yes, that is correct, the if the user changes the number of steps from the default (5) to another number, that updated number is saved when the power is removed.

I think they have a huge box with a gazillion of them, way back in 2015 someone must have made a writing error and ordered 100 times too many and they are still using them up on every new flashlight model :party:
