KC1 keychain light is available now

FWIW, I have no idea if the button LEDs will be used in anything except the titanium D4v2. It might only be available as part of a limited-run special edition.

After receiving the E07 full brass edition, I would prefer a Full Brass D4V2 over my titanium D4.
The brass threads are so much smoother than the titanium teeth-grating galling drag every time you change/charge the battery.
You just know they are chewing each other up.

skylumen neeeds to get a hold of a few of this would love to get one with white1 osrams on mine hehhehe

V2 D4 TI/CU - i am in Hank.

Why the aux led control is different when locked or unlocked?

I find myself a lot of times changing by accident the mode (low/high, beacon, off) of aux leds when trying to get out of lockout by 4 clicks (miss a click and you will change the aux leds mode… :person_facepalming: )

Aux led control should be 7 clicks no matter if it’s locked or unlocked

I also find it too easy to get to config modes by accident, a lot of times when I’m in moonlight and I think that the flashlight is off and I click 4 times for lockout but get to ramp config instead. Why not 4 clicks to go to lockout even when the flashlight is on?

It’s the same for 3 clicks, from off it gets you to blinkies but if you do 3 clicks it changes from smooth ramping to stepped….

I’ve been meaning to change lockout’s aux controls from 3 to 7 clicks to improve consistency, but every time I’ve brought it up, people said to leave it as is.

Also have been wanting to change the mapping to get into config mode, since people keep getting into it by accident. Again though, it’s tricky making changes which break backward compatibility. It makes things unpleasant for a lot of people for a while, even if the changes are an upgrade.

Basically, changes like that involve coordinating with people here and with several companies. It’s a lot more work than it might seem at a glance.

About replacing “3 or 4 clicks while on” with shortcuts to blinkes or lockout, no. That’s not likely to happen in Anduril. The only reason it’s able to have relatively short button mappings (like 3 clicks instead of 11) is because it’s a stateful interface instead of a stateless interface. Input sequences do different things depending on what state the light is in.

I voted to change it to 7 clicks. Consistency is king (or queen).

Some brands are known to have rather mushy backlit switches. I hope the titanium D4V2 manages to keep the same great click that we are used to from Emisar products!

I kind of want one of these in 2700K SST-20 to use as a candle, but I don’t fancy swapping the emitters with all that extra aux board stuff going on in the head. I might just go for a 3A or 5D XP-L HI option instead, as power is kind of the point of the D4.

Hank get some trits in the 21700 D4GT! …Drilled down through the fins always look best! It’ll set it apart from the MF01 mini and E07.

D4GT? I missed the news on this!

If it gets the same optics as D4S my most recent purchase (that got lost on the way) may be obsoleted before it even reaches my hands. :person_facepalming:

Any link to this D4GT?

I’m with chinooker D4V2/D4SV2 in full brass would be awesome to own I also have the fireflies e07 in full brass and love it

D4V2/D4GT in brass? Hell-yea! (D4S might be a bit heavy and bulky)
Copper patinas nicely, iffn protected from scars, kinda soft.
Ti has no qualities to suggest its use for flashlights other than durability. (threads grate/gall horribly)
Brass endures and proudly shows it’s heritage of use/abuse. Its threads glide together as if mating. :innocent:
No need for SS bezel as brass is plenty strong.
I really hope Hank is listening

That is great news!

Emisar D4V2 Ti is for sale now

Apart from the Cu+Ti host, the main upgrade of D4V2 Ti is the switch back light.

When the light is at OFF state, the switch backlight behaves the same as the aux LED.

When the light is at ON state, the switch backlight changes the brightness with the main LED.

Oh wow.

@Hank, would it be possible to get WW (3000k) switch LEDs?

That would be lovely.

That’s a interesting idea, I may need to collect the interest list and arrange some customs switch board later.

I like this idea Blue. And maybe hiCRI? Although I know this is not possible.

@Hank is the copper coated in any way?
