Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

I have to go to the store again to take photos of the package. I threw it away. I only have the batteries without the packaging.

Is this pack recent? Label says it’s sold in Canada (zoom in on the image). Gotta say the charger (renamed to BQ-CC17KSBA) looks quite good in black. Though I think the package label is a bit misleading, because it says it accompanies AA batteries, despite the image showing AAAs.

Yes it looks like the current cells and charger.

I would shell a few more dollars and get the faster Panasonic charger - BQ CC55 as it charges twice as fast.

IMHO the image above is showing AA batteries not AAA’s.

Triple A’s wouldn’t span the whole charger like that or fill up each rail. Maybe the black on black is making them look smaller to you ?

I would if I already hadn’t got a (white) BQ-CC17, but thanks for the suggestion. This was HJK’s conclusion about the BQ-CC55 (Review of Charger Panasonic BQ-CC55)

I wonder if that is relevant only for older non-LSD Ni-MH batteries with raised internal resistence.

Nah, they’re indeed AAAs, this is how the charger looks filled with AAs:

You can see the gap below each cell, so they are AAA, IMO.

What is your youtube channel Chibim? I am curious to see your eneloop new goodies you talked about some posts above…

Any hint on where to buy it? (Except locally in Japan, obviously XP)

It’s on Amazon:

The powerbank function can only output 5V / 1A, though.

I can not buy at amazon. Only ebay and others that accept paypal.

Sadly XP

And I already saw it on amazon… The price has increased in a few hours. It was 24.99 now 25.99… It seems that as more people buy… More demand… Higher price

5v 1A is a success… Most AA powered power banks only do 0.5A.

Thats a winner for me

Wow, a AA-powered powerbank. Nice! I didn’t think those existed.

In fact they do exist since many years ago…

I own 1 sanyo kbc-d and one sanyo kbc-e.

They work with AA but the output is only 0.5A.

This one declare 1A… But without hkj tests… Who knows how well will perform

Sorry guys for the late reply.

They are now also available in the US and EU. Will update them on this list: https://eneloop101.com/where-to-buy/

Are you talking about the charger cc87???

Yes, correct! It's available as a standalone charger, with 4AA and with 4AAA's.

Yes… Any other place instead of amazon???

I overlooked Phlogiston's reply. He already linked to the Amazon listing.

I’m looking at buying the latest Eneloop Pro AA cells at Amazon - which I believe are in the package labeled in the upper right: “Capacity min. 2500 mAH.” However, there are quite a few recent reviews saying that the measured capacity of many of the cells received by those customers is between 1800 and 2000 mAH. Most reviews don’t mention this, and they rate the cells highly, but several do. Are these cases in which people didn’t go through several charge cycles with their new cells, and judged their capacity too early? Or, should I worry about getting defective Pro’s that perform more like the basic Eneloop AA’s?

Maybe I should try the PowerOwl cells - that claim 2800 mAH and seem to have virtually all positive reviews recently? Anyone have any guidance they can give me? It’s been awhile since I’ve bought Eneloops - I have a few Pro AA’s from a few years ago, but I have not measured their capacity. I think it’s time to do that….

That’s what I came here for. Advice welcome. I need a couple dozen AA NiMH for new lights I want to be able to give away.
