Not only that, but hasn’t it been said already that the code will be good for up to 30 days? Surely, the first batch lights will all have sold by then, and the second batch lights will be shipping. The “first batch” codes shouldn’t be strictly tied to “first batch” lights in any meaningful way. So, if an “early supporter” wanted to, they should be able to just wait a little while before ordering. Am I right, or am I making some wrong assumptions?
SIGShooter: alternety:Some thoughts for early adopters.
I signed up in the early second hundred requests. I also bought early versions of the flashlight that begat this lantern.
Early is not necessarily a good thing.
For those early supporters, it would be very nice if you did not constrain early adopters to the first version. I have read things here that are a bit confusing. Offering the “first batch” to the people waiting for 3+ years, while new requests get the second batch with some fixes. It has been presented as minor differences between batches. I can understand that. But why will I be required to buy the not-quite-ready version.
One solution is to enter a new request, delete or ignore the existing request, and wait for the arrival of the end of batch 2.
I realize it is way late to rearrange things. But it might be reasonable to offer original (early) backers a position other than a semi-final device. An option for the early adopters to be placed in the beginning of the batch 2 would seem to be a reasonable solution. Many may not care if they get V1. Some (me) would prefer v2.
As I understand the current approach, it punishes the early adopters. Deleting an early position and going to the end of the batch 2 does not seem reasonable.
Well… Hindsight is perfect. There was no way to know that there would be more than 1 version (and the differences other than color are minor) or how Sofirn wanted to structure the group buy.

I personally believe you are correct.
Does anyone know if the 3000mAh Sofirn batteries offered during the GB are “protected”?
Hello, can you please add another 2 more units for met please? Should be a total of 4 now.
Many thanks and rock on!
Can I join the order?

I am unsure exactly actually, they didn’t say if they were or not that i recall, but i believe they are non-protected. (there is no mention in their Ebay listing with the batteries on that.
can someone in the know clarify if one can order a light with cells from Amazon, or only E-Bay or the other place? Thanks.

Barry made the code good for 30 days so if someone wants to wait and batch 2 is within that period then yes the code can be used for batch 2 LTs. The 30 days was chosen for just that reason.
Short answer is yes you’re right

Currently just ebay and aliexpress. The PM from Sofirn should contain the url’s for those 2 sites.
I apologize, I recently on this forum. Please explain how I can participate in the purchase of this flashlight?

This post from Sofirn outlines how to purchase one of the first 500 immediately, at least that’s how I interpret it. Seems like its open season for the first 500 LT1s via ebay or ali. I made an offer on one at 5am PDT and have not yet heard back if it was accepted or not. I suspect later this evening.

I thought we had to wait for a personal code ???

If there is a way to get it shipped to you then all you need to do is let the folks here know how many you want and you’ll be added to the list. The list doesn’t mean you are committed to buy. That comes later when money changes hands.

Thank you very much. Yes, I can get a flashlight with Aliexpress.
If it is enough to indicate my interest in this topic, then yes, I confirm my participation. I am interested in 1 piece.

best I can tell there are no personal codes required for ali or ebay. see Sofirn’s post for the details.
So are these ready for purchase or not?
When/how will we be notified when ready to purchase?
I’m in for 3 as stated awhile back
One more with batteries for me please
If at all possible put me down for another discount code (damn friends…). That will be a total of 4 for me. Thanks.

Especially the 10/10 update. If you want to order from Amazon you will have to wait for a PM from Sofirn which is a manual process (so expect some time before you get one).
