I placed an offer on ebay last night, just waiting for daytime hours over there to see what happens, fingers crossed.
A big congrats to everyone who has been involved. Iām only on here occasionally but have always checked on the progress of this project with interest whenever I do, actually,itās one of the main reasons why Iād come back, just to make sure I havenāt missed out on the getting one. But my worries would always be put to rest when I see that after a few months away, I click to check and see its now up to prototype numberā¦. Wtf, still on number 1???! Oh well, Iād say to myself, I guess Iām safe to check again in another 6-12 months. I must admit, there were times where I thought Ill never be able to buy one of of these.
But the time is finally here, and the final features look awesome! My bi annual progress checks were not a waste of time after all, as the lantern has developed into so much more than I have ever imagined a camp light could.
Itās almost guaranteed and expected any BLF light release will rock your jocks but Iām aware that these lights wouldnāt even be offered without some really great people behind them who are willing to give up their time and share their knowledge and ideas without hesitation, just so bozos like myself can look forward to rocking up on their next camping trip with a LT1 in hand and wowing the pants off of the fellow campers and their piddly Coleman lights, which now resemble something closer to a glow stick.
So from me, a very genuine thank you for giving me the opportunity to do just that in the not too distant future.
During the PG&E PSPS blackouts this week whole-room lighting was my weakness. Generator kept freezers cold and water hot, solar and power banks kept devices charged. Ended up using headlamps and flashlights which was inconvenient. Definitely could have used a good lantern that was safe to use inside.
im 273 & 274, didnt receive any codes. I msg Sofirn on Aliexpress, but the instructions given were vague and im not sure how to purchase as price wasnt reduced at all.
As i said recently in retrospect of this, there will be always be a few who will never understand that these projects are done entirely free, & on a volunteer basis, by a group of people who share common interests in the hobby and topic, and the work is done across only the internet form around the world, through here on BudgetLightForums, with time barriers, language barriers, communication barriers, and more. For anyone to expect things to be perfect is crazy, but i feel we all did a great job of getting it rolling regardless of the hiccups, glitches, and delays, at least its finally rolling into production for everyone, even after 3+ years from the start, which makes me happy no matter what. For anyone who expect perfection and correspondence like a paid team of engineers, they need to step back & evaluate what they want.
Iām in for this if someone sets it up. I would like for these projects to continue on BLF and am willing to show some appreciation to help grease the wheels.
Well the good news is my offer didnāt get declined.
The bad news is it wasnāt accepted either! Lol. I was totally ignored. Just wondering whether I should make another offer of the same amount? Is that possible or do I have to offer a higher amount which would mean my total would not be correct?
You were not ignored ā You most likely made an offer over the weekend and didnāt change the offer period to reflect the weekend and the offer expired. Default is 1 day for an offer ā You should have changed to 2 days reflecting the weekend.
Simply make an other offer and being this will be during the week the default time of 1 day is fine.
When you make an offer - Populate the dollar box with the same discounted dollar amount.
