Thanks to all those who made this happen. I got my codes and have placed an order for my first lantern, I’m hoping to use my second code for a sand version, and the third for a green one.
Any idea if the codes will expire before the color options are available?
Sofirn said they were good for 30 days but I don’t know if that meant 30 days from generation or 30 days from when they were sent to people. No doubt they can extend the expiration if they need to do so.
Attention to detail my friend…. the initial release is only 500 units, and they’re going down the request list to give each of the earliest 500 requestors the first chance to get one.
Your first request # is 997. I doubt you’ll be in the list of the first 500 people.
Think of it as pre-boarding vs general boarding of an airplane.
You aren’t kidding, kinda skipped fall around here didn’t it!
I’m in the 1300’s, eagerly awaiting release #2, on the list for (4) units, but like you, there is no pressing season to worry about. We’ll have them for many future outings!
I’d just like to get them before next spring, after temperatures start returning to 40-50 degree lows. These frosty mornings or not-freezing-but-soaking-days don’t make for the most enjoyable camping. You end up with waterlogged lumber when you need campfire heat the most.
My current LED lanterns are garbage compared to this BLF build, and I have quite a few.
@ Masejoer, agree with you on the LED lanterns, mine suck too. Coleman or Costco bought GE’s, just bad. My best option, and is a fantastic lantern is the gas Coleman Northstar (doubles as a heater , but a couple LT1 would be superior in EVERY way.
Have all the flashlights I need, most these days are shelf queens, but I know I’ll get great use of the LT1’s. I plan to get 2 green, 2 black and Lego them. I may gift (2) of them, but I’ll be keeping atleast (2) for personal use. Have the 18650’s patiently waiting for their new home
With airplanes, everybody arrives at pretty much the same time. Getting on the airplane first has little benefit (apart from finding space in the overhead bins). I’d much rather have a priority exit from the airplane. For the LT1 I’m hoping to catch the 2nd or 3rd airplane, so I don’t really have skin in the game for the first 500 seats. As long as they don’t overbook my ticket(s) or cancel the flight, I’m good.
