Sky Lumen Nguyen Flashlight

I will consider white background with blue logo but not for increased output as suggested. You can have any LED you want. XPL shown is for demo only.

How much more bright?
Does something that does not emit light increase lumens? Can lumens/brightness be increased other than by using a light emitting source?
Not even a reflector increases brightness and that is not behind the emitting angle of an LED.

I like the dark blue pcb a lot with yellow leds on top. A white one will not matter a lot in output (1% for a mule?) but will considerably alter the looks of the flashlight.

1% more light.
So if the mule does 10.000lm, by having 2 square milliliter of white surface behind the LED the mule now will do 10.100lm.
That was the secret to increasing lumens.
No reflector or optic of any angle increase brightness of any LED, they all reduce brightness/lumens , but a white tiny surface behind the LED will actually do the opposite by 1%.

Getting there!!

The bead blast gave an even matte look and should give an excellent surface for the HAIII bonding.

Really can’t wait!

Usually I find black flashlights kinda boring, but that matte black looks so good.

Look at that yummy solid chunk of 7075

We dont need pictures but do need videos of this machine at work. Pretty please. :+1:

If I could get videos I would make them myself but these pics are provided courtesy of the shop. So yeah…Slim chance. But I will ask anyways.

That is a work of Art! :+1:

That’s NIIIICCCCEEEE—- with the right Cell you can pull some serious amperage

Anything that is not perfectly reflective absorbs light and lowers OTF lumens. Improper focus/centering can definitely LOWER OTF vs LED lumens however.

Just look at what swapping the optic in some Armytek lights accomplishes: Armytek Prime C2 Pro v3 Warm review (XHP35 HD, 18650) - #8 by clemence

Acebeam T27 Empty Host = 3.4oz

View post on imgur.com

SLN Emtpty Host = 6.3oz (~Twice the weight T27, Kind of expected?)

View post on imgur.com

LilVortex = 3oz (If anyone have ever handled a 1oz gold/silver coin before imagine 3 of it! It’s almost the weight of an empty T27 shell and 1/2 the weight of a empty SLN!)

My wallet is crying quietly.

These things are way out of my budget, but they really do look good!

SLN 001 = Raw Anodized
SLN 007 = Bead Blast Anodized
Notice tail cap not matching with body
Bead blast greatly matches body parts
Non bead blast = a bit more slippery
I also notice glossy anodizations tend to chip easier than matte bead blast then anodize
Our anodization seem very strong with our proto sample beating so might not be a problem for us but we will see

Inside tail cap and body get Gold Adolyned to resist corrosion

Engravings remain legible even after bead blast + anodization

I am very happy with our Production SLN
