*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

Yes - simple solder blob to connect two adjacent solder pads.

Could that have been Alex’s inspiration?? :person_facepalming:
Might want to delete that post for others looking to ‘work the system’

Well, maybe we are that much closer to batch two. Don’t be upset, we have all waited the good part of 4 years. This lantern is worth it

I got my code but I will be waiting for the second batch. Any idea about 2nd batch? I mean when it will be started to produced? (estimate)
I hope that it isn’t risky to wait for it. I just want a more perfect light because I am a student and my budget on flashlights are very limited.

Second Question: Can we use cashback for purchases made on Aliexpress (note that after price adjustment) ? Or it doesn’t allow cashback when price adjustment happens? Anyone knows?

Please add me to list for one. Thanks.

Definite flaw. The usernames should be associated with email addresses or last names. If there’s not a match, purchase should be declined.

Quote removed,

I still stand behind my reply.

May Karma get you in the end!

I believe someone mentioned earlier that this is Sofirn’s biggest group buy to date.

No-one’s ever perfect when they’re doing something big for the first time. I trust that Sofirn will iron out the glitches, boot out the fraudsters and make sure everyone on the interest list gets their lanterns in the end. Once that’s done, Sofirn will have a lot of good experience to use in future group buys.

I’m hoping for a long-term relationship between Sofirn and BLF, ready for whatever the next BLF project turns out to be. This is all part of getting there.

We can only hope Karma gets him and any others “gaming” the system. :confounded:

Of cause. You have to connect some solder points at the battery-side of the driver.
There are 3 AMC7135 connected per channel as default and you can connect 4 more for a total of 7.

Look at this picture:

Thank you :+1:

Whilst waiting for my own PMs (first slot at #876), I’ve been trying to work out how far the PM process has got from what people are reporting here. It helps me hang onto my patience

If Sofirn is only making 3000 and they are the ones who set this up and are not confirming that the buyers are actually who they say they are AND not limiting them to one per request then I think they should make as many as they need to in order to cover everyone who played by the rules.

I will be interested in hearing if Sofirn will still cover everyone on here who has played by the rules and more so those who participated in the thread donating valuable time to make the LT1 what it is.

And YES, what Alex did was what I was referring to earlier when I didn’t repeat the fact that <<< edited >>>> and scam it.

Now this will be a giant cluster for Sofirn for allowing these loopholes when SIG had it under control.

I hope Sofirn will close this loophole asap AND make as many units as it takes to cover the legit 3000 on here since << edited >>> some slipped through

After reading what Alex did, (use another BLF member’s name to cheat the group-buy & order two LT1s with the group-buy price) then be sly to wait until his lanterns shipped before posting what he did here I forwarded a message to Barry asking him to immediately stop the group-buy until they fix the loophole issue, I also forwarded the Posts by Alex to sb56637.

Thanks DBSAR.

I knew this would happen. I would have been less concerned IF legit GB members were just jumping line and pushing others back, but knowing that any number of the 7.7 billion people on earth with $50 in their hand could order meant that those toward the last half of the group buy would not get one at all!

This is why we can’t have nice things.

The Alex bronson account and posts have been removed. Please go back and edit out the part of your posts that quoted him.

:+1: I agree ……… it would have been nice if they just sat back and watched how BLF would have ‘completed’ the project and use that as a ‘working’ template for their future GBs.

Fortunately, Sofirn did a 500-unit first run (instead of hammering the full 3000 out in one go), so the maximum damage is limited. The remaining 2500 can still be authenticated using whatever improved system Sofirn come up with.

Even if every single one of the first 500 lanterns had gone to fraudsters, the absolute worst case would be that Sofirn had to make an extra 500 lanterns available at the group buy price.

Me too. Thanks a lot to Sofirn and to all of our BLF members that are cultivating a good professional relationship with them.

thankful there is at least one smart person around who took the bull by the horns……
