Just an update, i receive yesterday the E07 from https://www.nealsgadgets.com/ and is an amazing ligth. Neals aparently have comunication issues and the site does not update the status until the product is delivered. He delivered with some delays but i will buy from him again. The D4V2 looks like is arriving next Wednesday. I will take pictures to compare.
Ah, sorry I’ve misread. I have not read anything about it I believe. Personally I think it’s less likely as the weight increase will be substantial, although obviously it will be a very cool light.
Has anyone else had an issue with the lens rattling around with the stainless steel bezel? The regular bezel has a snug fit with the lens, but I’ve carefully screwed on the stainless steel bezel three times and although it’s on correctly, it doesnt rest against the lens.
I tend to buy two of each battery. One in the torch, one to swap out immediately and then I charge the flat one.
How is shipping/availability in Australia? Problems with authenticating genuine/getting it from a trusted seller?
The Shockli does it give max draw to get all out of the light?
The other thing I saw is KeepPower but I can’t seem to find any unprotected cells in this country. Unsure if I can get cells shipped from overseas without potential customs issues. And then there’s issues of returning and postage costs with returning if it’s a dud.
Edit: I have an Emisar D1S and I have no doubts the D4S or any other Emisar product will be to the same high standard. I just wish I could buy a Samsung, LG, Sony, etc battery for it locally.
Shipping might be a show stopper, but you can contact Simon at Shockli and ask him about shipping and who might sell them down under; and there are threads about buying batteries there. The KeepPower 6000 is the same cell inside the wrap as the Shockli. If it is protected button top its performance might be slightly lower, but still very good.
With the XPL-Hi someone measured 15.4 amps on turbo. That cell can handle 20 amps and will give maximum without any issues. It is a high capacity cell and will give better runtimes than a high drain cell.
Not bad for a newbie giving you advice, aye?
Just got mine yesterday - same problem. I looked a little closer, and realized there was no o-ring in the SS bezel. Take the o-ring out of the regular bezel, put it in the SS bezel, and that should take care of it.
How do I contact Simon at Shockli? Also, I don’t know who Simon is at all.
I’ll take all the advice/help I can get - it’s all useful. I’m way newer here than you and even past that life’s about learning.
If I can a reliable supplier of some decent cell I can trust then yeah the 26650 is definitely back on the table. I did recently end up paying for a Cu+Ti FF E07, which I expect will be beautiful and cellable with a Samsung 21700 but have a bit of QC wonkiness.
Rbpinto seems to know about shipping to Australia by AliExpress, see above. If that does not work others will chime in with their experiences, but it would not hurt to contact Simon:

Hope it is not too expensive.
